Well, man, I gotta say, it did effect me personally, along with many others who either have had firends or loved ones commit suicide or have even contempated it themselves. I don't want to be a downer, because I have too much fun being a smart ass, but that's what truly got me about it.
Once the initial "what the hell?" anger wore off, the wrestling fan in me said "what was gained by it?" It served no purpose, it wasn't even mentioned 30 seconds after it happened. So it was a nice big double whammy for me. As a wrestling fan, I was treated to crap that did nothing ot advance anything, and had no point whatsoever. And as a guy who is a recovering alcohoic who battled depression, I got a great big "lighten up, suicide is funny" from Vinny and Friends.
