People like Ric Flair are talked about for all the titles they have held mostly becasue they are the world titles thus they are the most important. However is anyone more decorated than Jerry Lawler?
Looking at his title history I count 123 title reigns combined. 52 of those being the AWA Southern Heavyweight.
It seems like this often gets overshaddowed with Lawler.
Does anyone else top this?
Flair doesn't and Ultimo Dragon doesn't because I checked.

I think the knock that Lawler gets is that most of his title reigns were booked by him.

I don't think anything even gets close to that.
Here are some random ones I checked. Christian is only there because I wanted to compare it to Edge's :B
Raven - 59 titles Ric Flair - 44 titles Booker T - 40 titles Jericho - 38 titles Edge - 33 titles Christian - 28 titles

I knew Edge had a lot Raven being there suprises me. I had no idea he held that many titles. Jericho was one I figured was kind of high too. Booker suprised me.
Bubba Ray has 32 Devon has 25

Raven's got the 27 Hardcore reigns under his belt, haha. But even without those he's got 32 other reigns, which is nothing to scoff at.

I didn't even think about the Hardcore title until I was looking at some others. 8 of Bubba's are Hardcore title reigns but yeah the 32 that Raven has is still an awesome number.
50 for Terry Funk.

Also, I think it also has to be taking into account that wrestlers like Edge and Christian have wrestled mainly in an era where titles change hands frequently.

Jushin Liger has a fair few. Going off Wikipedia he has 40, counting tournament wins. Mutoh, with tournaments, is right behind him at 39. Stan Hansen has 43.
I actually think rather than most title wins, what'd be interesting is most DIFFERENT titles. Like, the go-to guy for any championship belt.

Lawler has won a 150 belts, that's quaint. He's been with the same company for 20 years and hasn't ever won a WWF belt.

Question: Do FCW & the other WWF/E minor leagues really count as official titles? In the MLB they don't harp on a rookie winning a AA championship.
