I love Colt Cobana as a performer, I really do, but, dammit, I just don't get this gimmick. I'll give him the Back To The Future reference, though, that made me chuckle. Otherwise, though, this was just a really lame comedy segment.

but that's the point. he's one of those grizzled old veterans who claims to have done and seen everything you can imagine and to have been the best wrestler to ever grace the earth. that's the whole thing with this, and he pulls it off frighteningly well.

Most shoots I've seen with midcard guys from the 70's and 80's go along the same lines. This one could be interesting in a "Spinal Tap" way.

Part of me wants to get the WSX DVD just for Classic (and the other PWG guys), but then I see Teddy Hart and Vampiro and it makes me want to bury my head in the backyard.

Get the WSX DVD, it's well worth it. So you don't want to watch Teddy or Vampiro, fast forward. Now please beware, it's a crazy spot fest DVD with some crazy matches like the Pirahna Match. If you can get past those that, then you'll love the dvd. I think my friend picked it up for like $10 at best buy.

Is Vampiro like, terrible in it? I always liked his work in WCW, and saw some stuff of him in Mexico after WCW folded that was cool.

Vampiro was fine it, but an earlier post said he wasn't a fan. To me the worst part of WSX was the ring announcer. Everything else was just fun. No 5 star matches, but a fun thing to watch.

Vampiro was fine it, but an earlier post said he wasn't a fan. To me the worst part of WSX was the ring announcer. Everything else was just fun. No 5 star matches, but a fun thing to watch. And rappers and rock stars trying to muster interest in the product at the commentary table when they know pretty much nothing about wrestling, much less the product. God, that was turrable. |
