Xavier's was a great site. Also enjoyed the actual Weird World of Wrestling site Madison ran (of course I'm biased since I wrote for it).

I wrote recaps for them for a SECOND, them he booted me. The only site I do miss is SCOOPTHIS.com because there's not a lot of pro wrestling humor sites out there.. Mostly for all the fan fiction stories like "Adventures of the nWo B-Team" or this particular fan-fiction story where it was set in Ancient Rome where Vinnie Mac was Emperor, Mick Foley was missing limbs due to being bitten off by the lions because he's "hardcore", & The Godfather looses a ho every time he competes in the Roman Coliseum.

I forgot about that site. The NWO b team stuff was funny stuff.

I miss the old AOL WWF site, with it's awesome trivia game. I would spend hours playing that trivia game. Truly awesome. ;D

Actually, they did do a quick relaunch recently, but it was a one time thing, more a reminder and rememberance of the site than a full blown comeback. scoopthis.com/pages/cover.phpThere's still some funny stuff there. I'd love to see it come back fulltime.

I liked 1wrestling before it became a pop-up machine. First ever message board I ever posted on (not counting AOL) was on that one.
Amazing that it went from one of the better sites to what is now a site that you won't go to if you value your computer.

Holy crap, Rick Scaia and OnlineOnslaught.com still exist? Yeah but it's not the site it once was. Scaia barely does updates on his stuff anymore due to his health & whatever he said many moons ago. Also just checked out the new Scoopthis.com. It was updated today! Hot DAMN!

whoowrestling.com - was a great source for indie stuff back in the day. Best part of it was the calendar for all the then-upcoming independent shows around the country. Also was sort of a one-stop-for-all place to buy tapes from all the indie feds.

Another one I liked was Rantsylvania, mainly for one reason: this writer (and I forget his name) had something called the Rantsylverse. Every Monday/Thursday, he posted Raw/Smackdown, except they were his alternate universe, with alternate feuds and storylines ... and the guy was BRILLIANT. He had this one feud between Angle and Hogan, where Angle was calling out Hogan for being a clueless, steroid-taking hypocrite ... sort of like Jericho's character during the HBK feud -- telling the truth, but being hated for it. Jed Shaffer ~I miss those days. Oooh! I know this one! Not Sean Shannon.

Dunno if it's still around (I heard it shut down years ago) but I miss being able to go to Wrestleline. It was the default wrestling news site WebTV would take you to. They always had some interesting interviews with some of the wrestlers.

Oh God, yes! South Park wrestling! I think he also made a RAW is Jericho picture and I stuck that on every computer wallpaper in my high school. (Also, WrestlingExposed before the guy who currently runs it ran it into the ground. I'm surprised it's still up.)

Amazing that it went from one of the better sites to what is now a site that you won't go to if you value your computer. Once Scherer, Woodward and Mike Johnson left and started PWI, that was it for 1W. That fat blob Bob Ryder ruined it.

Oh, man, I remember printing out a ton of those on a black and white printer at work when I was young. I think I still have them too somewhere. The guy/s who made those up were good.

I miss it too. wrestleline was the site that introduced me to the IWC (before it was even called that). My favorite feature was when they did top 10 lists every week and also the bottom 10 (for the worst stuff or wrestlecrap ).

the rise of the internet affected pro wrestling in a huge way. I remember a lot of those sites like Scoops, 1wrestling, rajah, etc. I was addicted to finding out what was going on behind the scenes. I also remember toll free phone numbers kids had and would update the messages with wrestling news.

First wrestling board I'd post on. My introduction to the IWC in 1999.
