I love it. They are totally going the goldust route on this one and I think it will help him. It will get TNA attention for being controversial and pushing the envelope which WWE is way too afraid to ever do again becasue they don't want to take a chance and lose merchandise sells.

There's a flip side to that coin, though. The whole attitude of "being controversial" and "pushing the envelope" for it's own sake isn't an attitude that works anymore. This isn't 1997. The same things that worked then won't work now. This character, if done well, CAN work. Any character can. But, if it's done in a way that's "too extreme" or whatever, it will backfire on TNA, and get them the bad kind of attention.

I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation for all of it. Normally, I would agree with that line of thinking, but there's NO WAY that can be explained logically. Any explanation for that is gonna be illogical by nature. Maybe he's one of those 'abstract artists' or something. Like the following week, he douses himself in milk and starts breastfeeding malnourished kittens then puts on a velvet hat and proceeds to that couch with his two friends.

Exhibit A Again, that was a poorly done character. It wasn't booked to be anything other than a JTTS. Contrast that with The Undertaker. Equally ridiculous premise(a zombie wrestler, really?), but he turned out to be one of the most successful wrestlers in the history of the business.

I will say this much, I'd rather them do something bizarre with Jordan for two-three minutes than watch him wrestle and beat top guys.

I just said he woudl get them some controversial attention in the same fashion that Goldust kind of did back in 1996. Spike TV has alreay flipped out about the bisexual nature of the character.

Well, stay tuned folks. 'Cuz this one has the potential to either be brilliant or stupid and offensive on so, so many levels.

Well, stay tuned folks. 'Cuz this one has the potential to either be brilliant or stupid and offensive on so, so many levels. Basically. There's not gonna be a middle ground on this, I think. It's either gonna hit, or it's gonna miss BIG.

1) Devoted wrestling fan reaction: Hey, wow, this is interesting, bizarre, different and... Oh. It's just Orlando Jordan <changes channel>
2) Average wrestling fan reaction: Hmm, this is a bit strange, but... Oh. It's that guy that Chris Benoit kept beating in seconds flat <changes channel>
3) Casual channel surfing fan reaction: Oh. Weird. I thought the guide said this was a wrestling show, but it looks like some kind of creepy weird porno <changes channel>
4) Wrestlecrapper TNA fan reaction: <sighs> oh well, I better watch this, just so I can post about it shortly.
So presumably, Russo and co have created an angle, specifically for us Crappers...
