I don't know why exactly, but I remember killing the WWE with TNA in the original TEW (circa late 2004; before Samoa Joe showed up in real life). My main heel was Abyss. He later turned face, which somehow made him the biggest thing in pro wrestling. The only person to reach Abyss' level of popularity was Ace Steel. His (decidedly non-hilarious) feud with Colt Cabana actually helped catapult TNA past the WWE. Other main eventers included D'Lo Brown, Vampiro, Chad Collyer, and Chuck Liddell. Behind them were "Hotstuff" Hernandez, Christian, Rhino, Tommy Dreamer (again, this was 2004), and Kevin Northcut. The X-Division was headed up by Mike Quackenbush, who had a never-ending feud with Doug Williams. Other major X-Division stars were John McChesney, Paul London, Joshi wrestler The Bloody, and Supreme (the XPW guy), who played the same role Joe would play not even a year later.

In SvR07, GM Mode, Finlay became WWE Champion.
I just let the computer decide the outcomes and he just kept on winning and moving up the Power 25 rankings. In the end I put him in a Fatal 4 Way for the WWE Title as he was ranked in the Top 5 and could challenge for the title. Amazingly he won and ended a Shawn Michaels title reign.

A CAW of myself in Raw 2 on Xbox. I also spent entirely too much time trying to get Victoria to be my manager, but I finally did. Then I was in a ladder match and found myself hanging from the belt, unable to pull it from the hook, as my opponent ran back and forth next to the ladder for 17 minutes without ever trying to climb it. I never touched the game after that.

They didn't main event per se, but the coolest thing I have ever seen on a video game is when Freddy Krueger jumped Mr. T in the parking lot in a storyline mode of one of my SVR games. That, and Ronald McDonald downing some Steveweisers (coke?) after a match.

Smackdown vs Raw, Mark Jindrak, Undisputed Champion. Wow, I didn't even think his own children would do that.

SmackDown: SYM. Curry Man, undefeated World Champion.
SmackDown 2. Mikey Whipwreck & Tajiri, undefeated world tag team champions.
SmackDown 1. Bradshaw vs. Faarooq for the Hardcore title was the #1 rivalry in the company. Ratings cracked a 20 every time these two were in the same match.
(Although SD 1 & 2 did have card manipulations, where you could create the shows and slot the matches wherever you wished.)

In No Mercy the WWF title picture was around: Taka Michinoku, Big Boss Man (the Big Boss Slam was one of my favorite move in the game), Steven Richards and Jeff Hardy (the Swanton Bomb was awesome too.)
Mae Young, Michael Cole, Eddie Guerrero and Chyna were also in the RTC in my game.
