So Lacey gets crap for doing a backflip before hitting an elbow. People are crying that it's pointless and a waste of time. I for one find it amusing and it is no worse than these three moves. 1. The Peoples elbow 2. The Worm 3. The Ballin Elbow Funny thing is if done by the right person, it could be a flashy, if nonsensical finisher (C4 or Canadian Destroyer anyone?)

I thought it was hilariously heel, OMG she's going to hit a moonsault, nope, just a backflip and then an elbow.
It's as pointless as Kelly Kelly's backflip counter

By the looks of it all Lacey has going for her are nice breasts.

At least it wasn't a leg drop. Even the theatric elbow variations had a point of contact, all the leg drop ones end with a leg lightly falling onto someone's body.

The Peoples elbow 2. The Worm 3. The Ballin Elbow I'd have no problem even if she hadn't hit it. The problem was, it looked like she did a backflip, landed on her feet, and THEN proceeded to drop the elbow...which she missed.

Remember when Charlie Haas was in his Lucha phase, and he came off the top rope only to land on his feet and hit a regular standing splash? And how great everyone thought that was?
Just because Lacey is useless and untalented doesn't mean she needs to be vilified for every single thing she does.

In Lacey's defense, she's been with TNA for 6 months and JUST started her training. What, did you expect her to be wrestling for years before someone decided to sign her? I do not expect her to be a good wrestler yet, however I do expect a little intelligence to not do a nonsensical move like that.

Well, I just found it on YouTube because I was curious how this worked... I mean, I've seen a moonsault elbow drop before from some Japanese Fed and I thought it looked kind of cool.
So, then I saw this one, and... well, it looked ridiculous. But then, as others mentioned, the People's Elbow looks ridiculous. The Atomic Legdrop doesn't look like a finisher. They're both mega-over. Maybe this will get over, I don't know.

I honestly don't kno what you guys are talking about. What was so bad abotu a backflip off the second rope? Here we all are thinking she isn't athletic at all and she pulls of a freaking back flip off the second rope. Sure it was stupid to do it just to drop an elbow but looking at what else she has done in the ring or in better words hasn't done in the ring we should be praising her just for being able to pull that off without breaking her neck.

It was stupid, but it was pretty damned athletic, and suggests to me that with motivation, and training, she could be just as pointless as Teddy Hart.

Ugh, Hate it. That's the first time I've seen it and honestly I am impressed. After she does it a couple more times and it gets a little more fluid it will probably look pretty good. I fail to see why people are in such an uproar about it. That's the most impressive thing I have ever seen her do. I also feel that if, say...Daffney did it, the same people shitting all over it would love it.

Nothing against Daffney since I like her too, but I think the fact that people don't like Lacey is why people are using this as a chance to make fun of her. If The Rock was able to do a moonsault and he did the exact same moonsault elbow drop, gave it a funny name like "The People's Flying Pie Eating Flip Drop", it would have been gotten over big time.

Her character is extremely dumb and likes to show off. There's your explanation for the move. It's not that big of a deal, even Taz joked about it when she did it.

It would make more sense if she just did the freaking Moonsault, which I bet would do more damage from the middle rope than a standing elbow drop. Should the day come when she can do it in one fluid motion, without landing on her feet, then things would be different.
Doing a flip for the sake of doing a flip may be flashy, but it's an unnecessary risk, especially for somebody not all that experienced. One can argue that an unnecessary flip can add to the move, like the Rolling Thunder, but in this case, it doesn't look like that Moonsault adds one drop of extra force to the elbow.

by the way, I hated it just as much as I hated RVD's move where he would do a random backflip for no reason then stop and kick a chair in someone's face. there was one in the ECW opening forever.
