I don't get this push, apart from Bischoff and Hogan geing in love with big dudes. I mean he moves like he's been encased in cement and his moves look awful and technically is the midcard/low-midcard champ. Seriously I'd rather them bring back Ken Patera or that WCW world's strongest man guy than this piece of crap. Can someone tell me what does anyone see in this guy? And whats the odds that he gets inducted to the site eventually?

The guy has a good look (Yeah he looks like a meathead but guys like Batista, The Ultimate Warrior, and Scott Steiner got the push because they looked like they were meatheads). Sure his in ring work is at best below average but he stands to improve with the more work and training he is given.
All in all I don't hate the guy. Giving him a extra lengthy reign as Global Champion makes a ton of sense. It makes him look like a monster and it makes the title an accomplishment and have meaning if you can wrestle it away from the big man.
Do I like him by no means but do I hate the guy not at all.

I like the guy. He reminds me of early Batista and I am one of the few that liked him.

He's alright. He isn't great by any stretch but he looks to have improved some.

Dixie does.... Other than that? *shrug* Nah, signs gotta point to Hogan/Bischoff liking him. He was doing nothing in TNA before they came in.

I don't hate the guy either. I was a huge British Invasion fan and really dug him as the muscle/bodyguard. This push ain't bothering me so far. He hasn't beaten anybody in the upper card where I would've gone "that's just stupid...he's not ready!". Just another push where the guy goes through a winning streak of beating the lower card guys. I've seen it before...no biggie.

I have to say this. If Rob Terry was in the WWE, would people still have the same opinions about him?

He seems to be either getting better, or is being put in the ring with some real pros. Homicide for instance is a good example of someone who really did a lot to make him look really good, and as discussed in another thread, did a good job in protecting Rob Terry with his chairshot, despite the potential dangers.
It's tough, because in TNA, he has a unique look, but the only reason he is getting the push in the first place is because of Hogan and Bischoff (though, the seeds of Rob Terry turning babyface were planted before Hogan and Bischoff came in, though they may've had plans for him and they got the ball rolling early.
If he gets better, then I'll be fine. It sucks what's happening to Brutus Magnus though. His former partners are both champions, and getting their own pushes, and he's very talented himself I feel, and he should get a push in a positive direction himself.

Ridiculous shape and physique.

I have to say this. If Rob Terry was in the WWE, would people still have the same opinions about him? Actually, a lot of us would probably question the push still. In the WWE, he wouldn't seem nearly as big when compared to Big Show, Khali, Batista, Ezekiel Jackson, etc. A lot of those guys are better on the mic and in the ring, so why push Rob? He's getting this push in TNA because he is a monster compared to everyone, except maybe Abyss, Morgan, and Hernandez.

I don't like him at all. Every time he's out there it seems so forced. Not sure how many people are actually taking this push seriously.

I honestly think his continued push has more to do with appeasing the UK market than the US one. Sorta like what WWE did with Khali.

It seems a lot of the "hate" Rob is getting is because in typical IWC fashion Big Muscles = Crappy Wrestler... is he good God No.. is he as bad as people make it seem, hell no.. he seems to be getting better which is good because it shows he is willing to learn unlike a lot of former big guys Cough Goldberg Cough, he has cut like what one promo so saying he has bad promo skills isn't justified, and to whoever said he wound't be that big in WWE when compared to other guys... he is legit 6'5" and shredded like John Morrison, as far as big guys go he is the most impressive I have ever seen
