absolutely this...no more CAW vanilla Cody Guys, Cody knows how to wrestle good and talk good. He had a ton of potential that was totally aborted by the crappy, crappy, crappy Legacy run that he got the absolute worst of. He is finally starting to spread his wings on Smackdown as an actual WRESTLER. Please, please do not shackle him with a bunch of glitter and vinyl. That will destroy any chance he has to get over as himself, and his self is a very talented wrestler who can cut a very good promo.

Dustin Rhodes as Dustin Rhodes is pretty boring, does no one else remember when he ditched the suit for a few months in 1998 or his WCW run in 2000?

Cody needs to make his own legacy (totally intended) instead of relying on Goldust or Dusty for a gimmick. He has all the potential to come up with his own UNIQUE character. He can pay homage to his family, and a tag team or feud with them would be fine. But, as much as the concept of Silverdust amuses me, it shouldn't happen. If it did, it would have to be a one-time thing, like when Goldust dressed as DustyDust...
Cody's going to have one hell of a time breaking out of the shadow of his family. Dusty was one of the most influential people in the business. The Goldust character gave a lot more to the business than most people recognize. Hell, even Uncle Shockmaster has his place in history. The point is, if Cody simply relies on using his brother's gimmick, he won't get anywhere. When Goldust first appeared, it was a huge deal because nobody had seen anything like it. Things are different now. Cody needs to come up with his own persona, and it damn well better be something interesting if he wants to be known as anything more than "Dusty's kid who was just sort of there and didn't do much". Is he a great worker? Hell yes. But... He sort of has a lot breathing down his neck, when you compare him to the rest of the family. I don't want Cody to end up being just an afterthought in the Rhodes family's legacy.

Yeah but before he was Goldust he had a great run as just Dustin Rhodes in WCW back in the early 90s. it was hard for him not to be boring though becausde they never gave him much mic time. I marked when he did the worked shoot Se7en gimmick and feuded with Russo.

After the Se7en promo, I can't remember a single thing he did.
