He's too damned good of a company man, of an idol, of a representative of what the WWE wants to show off. Seriously, he's squeaky clean in his personal life and backstage, he does such a ridiculous amount of charity work for Make-A-Wish and what not, and he's still thoroughly got the kid demographic locked up.
I don't want him to turn, because then who's going to pick up where he left off? Make-A-Wish kids aren't going to want Evil!Cena to show them around, so does that leave Orton? Even if they neuter his gimmick completely, Orton still has the rep for throwing hissy fits and destroying hotel rooms. Cena just does so much right now, that even as much as the older fans want him to turn... it just doesn't seem like the right thing to do.

Agreed. It's not so much that I don't want him to turn - I think it would be fantastic, personally - I just don't think now is the time or the place, as you point out.

The only reason I'm not ready for him to turn is because his character usually entertains me as it is. I really have no way of knowing if he'd make more or less money as a heel right now.
Maybe Evil Cena would make WWE crush UFC in the PPV business, but I'm not clamoring for it personally.

If he turned heel who would be the new, non Randy Orton, main event face to chase him? WWE should bide their time, and groom other guys to be that guy, so by the time they pull the trigger, it would be seamless.

I want him too. Goody 2 shoes Cena is stale as f***. Time to switch it up.

I don't think I'm emotionally ready for a heel Cena, i'd be okay with an anti-hero Cena, but not as a heel. If he does turn, Orton's the main face right now, and that's awful.
But if he does turn, no more orange shirt lol.

Cena/Jericho double turn? The fans seem to want an excuse to cheer Jericho.

I don't want Cena as heel either...right now, anyway, since the only idea people seem to have come up with is a lame ripoff of Hollywood Hogan's heel turn.

IF he does turn heel he can still do the Make-A-Wish and all it's not like he's gonna be in character while he's doing it

WWE Agent:"All right kid, now for your favorite wrestler, Randy Orton!" Kid:"But I wanted Cen-" Orton:"SHUTCHERMOUTH!" The idea of Orton, somebody who hits RKOs on random people, gets pissed at people really easily, and has a very robotic voice as the main face of RAW scares me.

Chances are it's not gonna happen. If it did...I could see a double turn between Cena & Jericho. Lately, they have portrayed Y2J as being conflicted between heel and face leading up to tonight's match.
If you compare it to the original InVasion storyline...Jericho would be in the role of Angle and Cena would be Austin. The whole thing has played up so similar that if a double turn did happen, that's probably how it will go down.
As for Cena's charity work being over for the time being...didn't Hogan still do things even though he was a heel? I seem to remember clips on old Nitro episodes that showed he did, so Cena could possibly be the same.

Or we could just have a face turn where Y2J goes onto be a top Smackdown face after his turn, since everybody here whines about the "all Rey, all the time" top tier of Smackdown.

I think there needs to be a reason (kayfabe) for Cena to turn and I don't think, right now, there is one. I'm ready to see it... but I don't think it is the right time yet.

Correct me if I am wrong but was Stone Cold not the WWE's 2nd biggest babyface star of all time behind the obvious red and yellow guy from the 80's? Because he hit random stunners on people, was a bad role model for kids (he used to say "I aint no damn role model thats for sure!") and was violent, intolerant etc. I dont see a problem...

I still just cannot see them turning their main cash cow. I would be extremely surprised if they did. And of all the times to turn him now would make the least amount of sense. I would buy Michael Cole being allied with Nexus over Cena. Seriously, it explains why they would beat up Danielson.
Anybody banking on a Cena turn is in for a dissappointment IMO. Especially with no clear babyface in the wings ready to fill the void. Orton's too amoral to fill that role without completely neutering his character.

He sells way too many t-shirts to turn him heel. This would be like turning Hulk Hogan heel in 1988.
