I don;t get this. Early in the show Kane revealed that Rey was the person who attacked the Undertaker.
This should have been a shocking moment, but the crowd seemed to care less, and the commentators seemed to no sell it. I would have thought that Matt Striker would have been hyping the idea of Rey being the attacker.
Then the show just carries on like normal. Why was there no interview with Rey about the allegations, reaction from the boys backstage. Why did Teddy Long have nothing to say about this.
Then Rey has a normal Babyface match with Swagger and the reveal of him being the attacker is barely mentioned right untill the end of the show. Surely Kane would have been pissed off and attacked Rey right at the start of the show.
I just don't get it. Surely a storyline like this should have dominated the show, not just the beggining and very end.

SO basically Kane said "It's Rey Mysterio" and everyone in keyfabe went "Er, nah. We know Kane is lying, lets just carry on."

What's funny is that Rey Mysterio is actually the responsible one for Taker being gone.

This was dumb all it did was take any suspense out of if Kane did it.

It was just wierd how little of a deal it was. It was like.
Kane: "Hey Guys, Rey Mysterio attacked the Undertaker."
Everyone Else: "Oh, OK then, cool. Anyway has anyone seen the new Twilight film?"

Obviously leaked pictures of 'Taker's wedding DID kill it for the fans.

Kane has it wrong! Taker meant El Hijo del Rey Misterio! It was Rey Mysterio's cousin trying to get revenge for Rey stealing his legacy!

I was bothered with the reaction myself. But overall, I pretty much assumed that it was Rey who was the one responsible. Still, the storyline must go on.

What's funny is that Rey Mysterio is actually the responsible one for Taker being gone. It's like the writers said, "Eh, f*** it. Since he actually did take out Taker, let's say that Rey did it."

No one cared because no one believed Kane at all when he said Rey attacked Taker. The idea of Rey Mysterio jumping The Undertaker and putting him in a coma is so hilarious it can't be envisioned. And yes, making this doubly amusing is that fact that Rey did break his orbital bone and that's why UT is out of action.

Possibly the saddest part of this for me personally is the fact that I apparently tune out the commentary to the point that it didn't even occur to me that they no-sold the promo until this thread. And SmackDown is my "favorite" commentary team. Thanks WWE.
