Seems they're totally absent from both Smackdown and Superstars for the next two weeks, and if I recall correctly, they were MIA last week as well.
It's not like low-carders like Primo or Yoshi not showing up, since they were actually interacting with and going over guys like Christian, as well as having mic time. I don't get it. You have a midcard tag team that's sent to make an impact, they win most of their matches, have a reasonable amount of TV time each week, and then they just up and vanish for a few weeks? Archer and Hawkins were actually starting to get heat as heels, too. I know it's par for the course for WWE, but still.

The WWE Creative handbook clearly states:
Rule 24a: No Tag Team may ever have more than two storylines in their careers. And the second MUST be a breakup.

2 weeks isn't too bad. If it gets to 4, then worry. Most likely, they're just giving up on them though. Optimism!

I just had The Dudebusters in my head. That's how non-descript the Gatecrashers are.

At what point did the tag team titles become brand exclusive again? Have the Harts even made one appearance on SmackDown since the draft?
You have Hawkins/Archer, SES... Dudebusters if you're desperate. RAW has what the Usos? It's stupid.

They'll end up going on a run where they're only on Smackdown for a while. Besides, didn't Archer and Hawkine sbeat a couple jobbers last week on Superstars.

Well while that's noble, it also comes off at the expense of quality. I mean, the Usos just aren't that good and the tag scene on SmackDown could be under threat of rotting so long as they continue this trend.

The Dudebusters and the Gatecrashers surely don't comprise a tag scene? Especially when they're both heel teams. And one of them never wins. Anyway, hey, Archer and Hawkins had an almost decent run but there's nowhere to go from beating up on midcarders who form temporary tag teams to wrestle them on SmackDown.

But nonetheless it's still a tag scene.

I like them although they don't exactly fit together as a tag team. I think they'd both do better as singles.
I'd much rather like to see the Dudebusters get better tights and wear sunglasses and get pushed.

Maybe their make an impact contracts expired. Nah, they got it extended, then were hired completely in their storyline.
