PWInsider are reporting this behind the paywall. This is one they're very behind on.

Well, Creed was able to do all the work for Team Pacman (in large part due to the fact that TNA couldn't have anyone touch Pacman Jones), so this is a good signing.
Maybe if they team him up with R-Truth, it'll allow for a good tag team for the division. I know SmackDown has two tag teams, but the Gatecrashers are still relatively new (well, the Usos are, but they got their chance in their debut) and the Dudebusters are jobbers until the day they get future endeavored.

creed is the definition of what a midcard babyface should be, is fairly young, and can put on really good matches if required. this is great news.
but does anyone else see this as being a bad sign for TNA? before, WWE would just walk in and snatch TNA stars if they wanted them, but now that a guy like creed only gets signed after being released, do you think a few TNA talents are thinking that the only reason vince hasn't called them is that they're still in TNA?
but yeah, that's probably off topic. what's important is that creed gets another shot, this time with WWE. he seems like the kinda guy who could succeed there.

Interesting that WWE only seems to prefer buying up the younger, cheaper, non-"name" TNA guys.

I'd prefer Sonjay or Petey if a former X-Division guy got signed, but this is still good news. hey, i ain't complaining, just as long as wwe surprises us and uses him well. of course, if they hire petey and sonjay as well it'll only get better.

Interesting that WWE only seems to prefer buying up the younger, cheaper, non-"name" TNA guys. Interesting that TNA seems to keep letting them go... I always remember looking at their roster and thinking if WWE could sign any of them, it should be this guy. He's a fresh young face and he definitely has the look to make it happen. This was a no brainer and it was mind boggling to me that TNA would release him.

I don't have a problem with it at all, but it seems strange that TNA is seen solely as a developmental by WWE in this regard. I fully expect Amazing Red to end up in WWE in this manner in a couple of years.

If we are doing a Rocky theme, they should bring back Jake Roberts to play Paulie.

It's an awesome break for him. I hope he makes it out of developmental and gets onto WWE TV soon. He comes across as a pretty cool guy, so I'd like to see him succeed.

*Vince McMahon walks in* Vince: I just saw this great movie called Rocky. We need a wrestler like Apollo Creed. Writer: There is one of those his name is Austin Creed. Vince: HIRE THAT MAN! I want to make him my next world champion.
The Next Day *Vince walks in where a writer and Austin Creed are standing* Vince: I just saw this great movie called Jaws we need a wrestler with a shark gimmick. Writer with Austin Creed: They have one of those sir his name is Shark Boy Vince: Hire that man I want to make him my next world champion. Writer: Well until then heres Austin Creed. *Vince looks confused* Writer: The man you said would be your next world champ. Vince: Stick him somewhere in the midcard. AND FIND THAT SHARK!

So TNA hire former WWE guys who can do a job for them and they're hiring rejects, boo, hiss. the 'E hire former TNA guys and they're nothing but a developmental territory... wuh?
TNA does a pretty good job of keeping the guys they want, guys like AJ, Beer Money so that's why they don't get hired by the 'E. They rarely lose any young up and comer that they want to push up the card to the WWE, the only guy they've lost straight to the 'E that they supposedly wanted to keep was Chris Harris and we all saw how well that ended. TNA gave chances to a whole bunch of guys so some of them are bound to end up in the 'E.
As for Consequences, good for him, I hope he doesn't go down the path I'm afraid he will though... Last time they hired a guy from the indies who worked an Apollo Creed gimmick, they stuck him with a DiBiase in a bodyguard/lackey role.
