Cabana always struck me as one of those guys who thought he was much funnier than he actually was. I really liked the guy as a member of the Second City Saints in ROH, but after Punk left I realized that was more because Punk was the perfect straight man moreso than Cabana being a talented babyface. You took the words right out of my...uh...fingers?

It felt like they had no plans at all for him.

Off-topic, but Kendrick's finisher was fantastic. One of the coolest-looking moves I've seen invented during this generation. He didn't invent it though. Cabana's known for his comedy but check out his feud with Homicide in ROH, which has to be among the most intense and better booked recent feuds.

He needed a straight man to play off IMO, as that seems to be where he flourishes. Also, I enjoyed What's Crackin? With Scotty Goldman, especially the Ryder Roll.

It felt like they had no plans at all for him. Pretty much.

It sucks how he was treated by WWE from being told he would be on the roster in 3 or 4 months tops to the abuse in OVW and then the joke of a run on the main roster.

Didn't he get released because he cancelled his remaining indy dates to start immediately with WWE? If I remember correctly Claudio never even made it to developmental because of a Visa issue. Claudio did indeed get released before making it to developmental, but the stuff about him getting released because of visa issues was just a theory going around, and an incorrect one at that. Claudio got his green card when he moved to the US in 2004. if i'm remembering right from his SMV shoot, he's said he never got a full answer as to why he was let go but that it was due to budget cuts as for Colt it was complete crap what happened to him. he's an extremely talented wrestler and whether or not you personally like his comedy the fact is his gimmick can easily be aimed at children and in today's PG world you'd think they want a guy like that

I just realized everybody in that video outside of the referee and announcer is either injured, fired, or non-existent in today's WWE.
