This just proves that the right gimmick can take a guy from CAWdy who gets slagged on for being boring and having no charisma to a favourite over night. Shows how obvious people's rating systems are. If someone has gimmick = cool. Some who doesn't = bland. Cody has obviously always had talent and charisma. He hasn't suddenly 'learnt' those things because of this gimmick. He can pull the gimmick off because of the talent he has.

I guess I'm the only one that was a little embarrassed for him...

I don't often do this, but Cody is a special case. HAAA I TOLD YOU ALL HE HAD CHARISMA. I told everybody that Cody wasn't bland, that he had mic skills, and that the only reason he sucked so much was because Legacy was holding him back, not because of a lack of talent. HAR! I am not sold yet. Anyone can look good on Smackdown. Let's see him be this good on RAW. Raw's the show that's doing a pretty damn good job of pushing a bit of everybody lately. SmackDown's only really bothering to give screentime to the main eventers, McIntyre, Christian, and Matt Hardy lately.

They should've just given him a track star gimmick instead.

Also consider that if what you said were true, many WWE wrestlers would not have fans, including some main eventers...

Zach Ryder was a nobody as part of the Edgeheads or whatever, but now he's a favorite around here. Same for Cody. He really wasn't showing any of the charisma he's showing now before.

Cody always had charisma - look at any given time they gave him the mic (not that it was often, admittedly); he managed to get the crowd firmly against him quickly whenever they did it.
Just glad that now people are starting to see the true potential of Cody Rhodes - this guy should be a champion soon if there's any justice in the world.

Nah, I'm not into dudes, but Cody looks developmentally challenged. I think the Dashing gimmick is supposed to be ironic Cody is very, very black or white as far as the wimminz (and gay dudes) go. Either you think he's the hottest thing on the planet or you find him hideous. I used to think he was horrid, but I have since changed my tune. I think he's hot as hell. He's really really hot. Then again, I also think Miz is really really hot (and will be hotter if he ever turns face, which is usually the opposite of how it works for me), so my opinions aren't to be trusted.

"Dashing" Cody Rhodes is hilarious but i can't take him serious either. With this gimmick he should never touch a world title. But as a mid card heel i'm cool with it. Put him in a program with Kofi for the IC title.

Consider that the definition of a gimmick is that which sets something apart from others like it, therefore keeping it from being bland... Also consider that if what you said were true, many WWE wrestlers would not have fans, including some main eventers... On here, they don't! Luckily a lot of fans realise though that if someone doesn't have a gimmick it doesn't make them bland. It's about personality. Orton still gets called bland ffs, he's got just about the deepest personality you can get. Swagger gets accused of being bland, or did, all because he stopped doing the press up gimmick. Never mind that he gets taken a lot more seriously now, would be able to sell more PPVs and can still make just as much of an impact, HE DOESN'T DO PRESS UPS TO FIREWORKS!! Orton sets himself apart because he has a personality. So does Miz. He's not playing any sort of 'gimmick', he's being himself turned up. So do loads of others on the roster.

He really wasn't showing any of the charisma he's showing now before. Zack Ryder didn't suddenly learn that charisma, he's always had the talent. That's my problem with how people rate these guys. Cody got called CAWdy, when the whole point was that he didn't overshadow Orton. Ryder wasn't supposed to overshadow Edge etc. They then get exposure with a new gimmick but it doesn't mean these guys weren't talented, or were boring, or didn't have 'mic skills'. Amount of people I saw on here say that Cody didn't have mic skills was ridiculous, when he's always been, right from the moment he debuted, one of the best speakers on the entire roster. People confuse charisma and talent with how much exposure the guys are supposed to get. Sometimes they aren't meant to take too much of the focus for themselves.
