I was wondering about this the other day. Undertaker, to me, was as dominant a force in the past decade as he was in the'90s. But at the same time, he had perhaps some of his most memorable feuds in the 2000s. Who, in your opinion, was the greatest rival the Phenom had in that decade?

I say Edge. Ever since Edge MITB'd him.

I hold on to the fact that it was Lesnar. Brock was the one man 'Taker could not best.

I went with Edge, but Batista is a close second.

Edge, Batista, and Lesnar all have arguments for each.

Lesnar. For all of the trouble that Michaels, Edge, and Batista gave him, Undertaker always consistently beat them in the end - Lesnar was the one guy he just could not beat.
That, plus their Hell in a Cell match was awesome - easily the best one, in my opinion.

i voted edge, because i don't think anyone has proven to be such a thorn in the undertaker's side in such a short stretch of time, although the same argument can be used for lesnar as well.

I say Lesnar. He straight up beat the Undertaker, and Taker would straight up beat him. No trickeration like Edge. Both men went toe to toe with each other and came off looking great for it.

An Outdated Gimmick

An "outdated gimmick" hasn't hurt his overness at all. So I would say his gimmick is nowhere near a rival. I've got to go with Edge, their feud was over a year long. Edge screwed Taker out of the title, and you knew Taker was going to get revenge. Even when Edge was out with injury and Taker was feuding with Batista, you knew it was building to Edge vs Taker. Nobody in this decade had that constant storyline with Taker.

I gotta side with the Lesnar votes for the reasons they mentioned any of the other candidates he pretty well always had the upper hand on.
