That's his excuse?Has he not heard the phrase"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?"No one laid down for you?Well lay down for someone else and break the circle and show that you are the better man.

For those of you pointing to guys like RVD and Booker T, you have what he means all wrong. In context he was referring to big stars who laid down for him, when he was not on top of the world or a big star.
Foley, Rock and Austin all fit the bill to an extent, but the point Triple H is making is no one was jobbing to Terra Ryzing.

Lets be honest, what big stars were there? Bastion Booger? You have to admire Henry O. Godwinn for letting HHH go over him in his signature Hogpen Match.

if he really said that, HHH is more bitch made than I thought. I mean, Austin and Foley went out of their way to put him over even when Austin supposedly didn't want to.
Edit: wait...he's talking about back when he was lame-ass Terra Ryzing? LOL @ acting like people blame him for burying cornballs and jobbers like Kendrick and them. No this is about bigger game, like Chris Jericho and Booker T.

I don't know what Hunter is complaining about. It took Foley making him look like a million bucks before people really started to take him seriously.

Stephanie McMahon Don't be too sure about yourself. How do you know she wasn't on top? Or better yet, probably not laying down at all. Heck for all we know she might like to be the man.

Lets be honest, what big stars were there? Bastion Booger? That's what I was thinking. I assume he's talking about his mid-late nineties run. Bret was gone, Warrior didn't stay, HBK was injured, Sid was gone, his buddies in the kliq were gone, so was Luger, etc. All the big stars were in WCW at the time and WWE were in the process of making new ones and he was always trading wins with Austin, Rock and retired Foley anyway. What the hell is he talking about?

I was a huge Triple H fan when he was fighting Foley, also a huge Foley fan. Hell, I even stole my screen name off him during this time. However, Triple H has never been as good as he was than he was against Foley.
I am not sure what that says about either man.

People, to continue in the point I was making earlier, I love Mick, but he was NEVER on the level of 'big star' that Austin or Rock were on.

If he is indeed saying that no one did the job for him in his early career, that should be proof positive of the effects of putting other people over when you're in a high status. He went nowhere in his early career when people weren't putting him over. Later on, he was associated with HBK and was put over by the likes of Foley, Austin, and the Rock. And then when his status was elevated enough, he was put over just about every name in the WWE.
Doesn't hurt to be the boss' son-in-law, too, of course...

If you look at Triple H's career, he didn't become any kind of real player in the WWF until he and HBK teamed up to form DX. While he mainly feuded with Mick & Owen, his rub from HBK began to launch his rise to stardom. After HBK retired, it was his feud with The Rock that made both of those guys. Their IC title feud was the beginning of both becoming real main event level guys. As a World title guy, The Rock, Mankind, Stone Cold, Vince McMahon, Hulk Hogan, RVD, HBK, Goldberg, etc all layed down for him. The reason no one did to make him a star was basically because there was no big star in the WWF at the time to lay down for him. With the exception of the Undertaker and SCSA, the WWF was in the midst of establishing the new era of stars like the Rock and HHH. Who did he want to put him over?

He did defeat Henry O. Godwinn... and Marc Mero... and Taka Michinoku, who to his credit, had the greatest theme in wrestling history.
