Man....playing through Reach on Legendary solo is truly putting both my gaming skills and patience to the ultimate test. But, when I complete it, it'll easily be my biggest gaming achievement ever. Just got 3 missions left. Only problem is, they are the 3 hardest missions in the game period. Yeah, I can't imagine trying Legendary on solo. It isn't too bad the first two missions, they seem like the same on all difficulties, just you can kinda tell the enemies are a little stronger on Legendary. It isn't till Nightfall, the third mission, that the shit hits the fan. Most of the Elites in the level are Zealots, and they take like 5 or 6 f***ing headshots....from a sniper rifle, to put down. Thankfully, I remembered where I had to go, so, after the first Zealot kept refusing to go down, I was like, "f*** this." and just flipped on Active Camo and ran through the mission pretty quickly until the very last section of the mission where you HAVE to fight. That took me 2 & 1/2 hours. Around 2 hours seems to be the average length of time it takes me to beat each of the missions from 3 onwards. On the plus side, thanks to the balls to the wall difficulty of Legendary, I now have new ways of beating the missions that I never thought of before.

Yeah, on Heroic I left quite a few of them alive if I just had to get to Point B. That's basically how you had to handle ODST. I really need to get around to finishign the last two or three missions on Heroic, but I'm waiting for a friend to get time to join up so we can breeze through. Right now, I'm working on the 200 grunt challenge.
