I would agree that you should show her a Rumble, I've found the RR match itself always entertains even the most anti-wrestling people.
2008 would be the best to give her a flavour of the current roster. Well close enough, anyway. Or if you think she'd prefer to watch an Attitude era event to see the famous names like Rock, Austin, etc, go for 2001.

I'd go with X-7.
BUT DON'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE: NEVER SHOW HER A PPV WITH A DIVAS T&A MATCH!!!!! It'll send the wrong message and she won't like it. Double Check to make sure that the PPV you want to show her doesn't have a Torrie vs Stacy Thong Mud match. Please Don't!

I'd go with WrestleMania XIX. Great action all-around. For seconds, I'd go with either RR 2000 or WrestleMania 17.

Okay, well I have till this weekend, but keep the ideas coming. I was thinking WM 17 but then I thought would it be better to show something more recent, or show her a ppv based on quality?

Just buy the latest Royal Rumble, and show that. If your selling her wrestling might aswell show a match that shows most of the top current stars, has the most easy to access drama and storyline. Wrestlemania 17 seems like a great idea, but your basically selling her a 9 year old show with very few of same stars should see if she got into the product now and payoffs to storylines she hasn't seen.

Yeah, it's probably best to introduce her to the current product and then you can gradually work backwards to show her stuff from the past. Besides, as mentioned, the T&A matches in the attidtude era would send the wrong message. Of course, the fast forward button could always be put to use. You may even score some brownie points for skipping the T&A segments. As for the suggestion of Royal Rumble 2000, DO NOT show this PPV to her first. You've got to gradually introduce hardcore stuff like the Cactus vs. Triple H match to her after she's hooked. If the first thing she sees is a handcuffed guy driven face first into thumbtacks, and a barbed wire 2x4 she'll likely be disgusted and assume every match is an ultra violent bloodbath. Choose an event that's heavy on fun stuff that's not quite so serious. The recent Rumbles have been pretty good for this. Some silly skits here and there and some pretty good undercard matches without a lot of over the top violence.

Either way you slice it, some of my ex's always thought the rumble was cool. Lets face it, even non fans can admit its a fun match to watch.

CAn't go wrong with the crowd. Mania 17 is a show I think a non wrestling fan can enjoy.
Rumbles are good too. I think rumble 2000 would be a good go, with the Rock winning.

Gotta disagree with introducing WM17 as the selling point. Love LOVE the show, but with an outside perspective I've noticed it's not an easy to access show.
- Well the matches are good, Test vs Eddy/Y2J Vs Regal/ Kurt Angle vs Benoit had no lasting impact. And you also see 3 dead wrestlers, and that's just going to lead to a negative feeling of wrestling (Especially if she has heard of the Chris Benoit Murders). - The three on three and Woman's match are dull. - The Gimmick battle royal was just a big in-joke for the longterm fan. - Stone Cold vs the Rock is a payoff to a 3 plus year build story.

Yeah, that's why I was against WM 17 also. Not even half the people on that PPV are even in the WWE (or alive...) anymore.

I agree with the people that say RR 01 followed by WM X-Seven.
