I was kind of skeptical, but after last night, I like the Vampire. The off the rope stunner is the first move in a long time that gave me that "Holy crap, what a cool looking move" feeling, especially the way Guido sold it. I'm also a huge mark for vampires, so this gimmick is good for me. Ariel/Shelly is awesome as well.

Is Fertig the only wrestler to ever keep his finisher when switching gimmicks? Because the Razor's Edge was his finisher when he was Mordecai. And I'm talking extreme (no pun intended) examples. I mean a guy goes from one zany gimmick to another zany gimmick but keeps the finisher (not guys like Scott Hall, who had to abandon the Razor Ramon gimmick and start going by his real name) Better than Test who uses a new finsher every match seemingly. Well, I was pretty into Carlito's semi-gimmick last summer of not really even having a finisher. He'd win his matches with exposed turnbuckles, a handful of tights, feet on the ropes, outside interference, or a combination of the four. I couldn't help but laugh every time he'd get by another week without a finisher.

I thought he and Shelly had chemistry.

Being that the Undertaker is Fertig's favorite wrestler it makes sense... but I saw a lot of the old-school Undertaker in him. Very methodical, and even when Guido tried to get offense in... all Vampire did was move forward in what he was trying to do beforehand. Here's hoping he gets an honest chance. QFT, I felt if he is booked right and with Arial playing to his Paul bearer this can be quite an awesome gimmick, he has improved 10 folds since his last run. I enjoyed it, just wish we got to see the full entrance.

I was surprisingly impressed by him last night, my only complaint is that he should use the elevated stunner as his finisher instead of the Crucifix Powerbomb (Sorry, it's not called Razor's Edge folks...).

Yea but you know the kids love scott Hall so its the Razor's Edge lol. But I totally agree about the elevated srunner as the finish but you know stone cold might wrestle again in the next 40 years so they won't give the vampire the move lol

I said it last night, and I'll say it again, I like the Vampire. I'm a mark for scary, evil characters anyway, but I thought he did a good job. As for using the elevated stunner as a finisher, it'd be cool, but I think maybe it falls into the same catagory as Kennedy's Green Bay plunge. A cool move, but one that requires too much of a set up to be a regular finisher.

Ahh, that's Mordecai for ya. Still bland even after 2 years being removed from SmackDown. Shelly is different. DEFINITELY. And not in the Luna kind of way *hears thunder in the background*. LOL i love how my stuff lives on into other boards But really He is pretty good. He is a good asset to SciFi

He had a cool look and feel and Shelly looked awesome. I still can't believe that's Mordecai, but so far so good.

I liked Shelly when she was Birchall's wench. And as Ariel. And as a valet for Seth Skyfire. I Love Shelly

I wonder if they are going to say it's still Mordecai but he got bit by a vampire and turned evil. I doubt it, and kind of hope not, but after seeing him keep the Crucifix move it gets me wondering if they'll do something similiar.

He was alright, however I agree with Tommy Dreamer. Shelly makes the same faces at ringside the entire time.

I thought they were going to not use David Heath(Gangrel), due to his weight issues?

they could still use the name Mordecai, unless they can come up with a great name or better name. Ariel/Shelley is hot and she got the classic vampiress look. I heard they were thinking of making a whole new Brood with Gangrel.

Seemed alright from what I saw on ecw.com, I won't get to see the full match until Sunday but yeah he seemed to be decent enough.
He seemed to be a lot bigger when he was Mordecai.

Is that his actual ring name, "The Vampire"? Wow...a lot of thought went into that one.
Say what you want about Gangrel, but his name was ten times better than that.

I think they just don't know his name at all. Or thats the way Tazz made it seem. On ECW.com they just call him "Vampire".
