You'd think with things the way they are right now, the last thing they would want is to show the fact that their first tag champion was a man who committed murder, suicide and as a result caused a huge media scare within the company itself.
Edit: And their other champ is a guy who isn't even with the company anymore and, from what it seems like, left the company on a pure lie.
They totally have a right to do it either way, it just doesn't make sense from a PR perspective.

They will probably just claim both lineages should they ever actually talk about that sort of thing on TV.

This is the wikipedia biography. The World Tag Team titles have been discontinued since August 16. 2002. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WWE_Tag_Team_Championship_(2010%E2%80%93present)Makes sense that they use the WWE Tag Team title lineage since they are trying to get into a newer age and such. But you know they will reference past tag teams who held the World Tag Team titles when seem fit.
