I could see Jericho coming in to be the last elimination..and just snapping and quitting.

I don't like that it's an elimination match now, because it essentially creates a hierarchy via the order in which guys are eliminated, and I'm worried now that Wade Barrett is going to be one of the first to go. Moreover, I really want Sheamus to retain since the WWE title NEEDS a reign of decent length, but I can't see them putting Sheamus over strong if it's an elimination match since he can't be DQ'd or steal a single, match-winning pin off of someone else's finisher to keep the title. So I'm thinking the belt moves to Cena, and he becomes a ten-time (man alive, would that be excessive) world champion.
On the plus side, the elimination rules should make for a better match overall, and really it's just an elimination chamber match without the chamber or the timed entrances. Should be a fun go.
My elimination order prediction:
1) Edge 2) Jericho 3) Orton 4) Barret 5) Sheamus
Cena wins. Sorry for the lack of spoiler tags behind that. I'm not really that confident that it'll go this way though. If it were up to me, Sheamus would retain. But if it had to be a new champion, I would go with Barrett since I see him being a future main eventer and draw (no seriously) and this could be the shot-in-the-arm the Nexus angle needs to get it to Survivor Series. Seriously, those Nexus guys need to start winning some titles if the plan is to keep them around for longer than the next month. Hell, it would have been cool if they had one the old "two sets of belts" unified tag titles under Freebird rules (i.e., any combination of the stable can defend) with Barret winning the WWE championship, then everyone would have a belt around their waist. But now I'm rambling.
I put Cena at best odds to win, although I truly hope I'm wrong. Not because I dislike Cena or even because I'm sick of him, since neither of those statements are true. I just think there are at least two people in the match who could use the title more. Belts don't draw anyway, so unless they're building to Cena/Taker in a unification match or something, I see no reason to move the title right now.

Man, if Sheamus loses early tonight, that guy has the worst luck with championship runs. Two title runs less than four months each where he beat Cena via dubious means, retained the belt against Orton on a big four PPV via a DQ, basically just beat mid-carders on Raw, and then an eventual loss in a six man match where he wasn't even the last guy pinned.

But of course it's WWE so for all we know Darren Young will interfere and get the win when he pins Barrett and the ref counts the three thinking it was Cena pinning him instead. I'd love to see that in the other direction: Cena takes out Sheamus and Barret backstage with a pipe or something while wearing 8 pounds of bronzer and a Dragonball Z wig, then claims to be Darren Young. :camera cuts to Darren Young playing Halo 3 in some rec room backstage, when suddenly security busts in and takes him away:

Sheamus retaining is my ideal scenarion, but I think Barrett or Orton are the most likely to walk out as champ- with Miz the third most likely if Bryan beats him.
To me, Cena's the dark horse for once. At the most I see him being one of the last two, but at that point he's getting pinned somehow.

I think it'll come down to Sheamus and Orton with Sheamus retaining, or at least that's the way I think it should go. Yeah Orton's over but if they want to give him the belt, do it right: have him spend a few months where he's so close to winning to the point that the fans are begging WWE to put it on Orton and use that to build his eventual win at Wrestlemania. That's how you make a big money champion. But of course it's TNA so for all we know Darren Young will interfere and get the win when he pins Barrett and the ref counts the three thinking it was Cena pinning him instead. Fixed.
