So Coles theme all night was this show being a joke.
Obviously its part of Cole becoming a heel, its been building for a long time.
However I found it really buried the show, I cannot see this happening on S1 or S2. Its literally just because its Divas.
Further proof that the WWE doesn't care about its Diva division. Even on its own show.

wwe knows that no one respects their divas. WWe knows they're crop of girls suck and they can't get much wrestling out of them. They're not sure if they're getting cancelled or not. They're just filling time until they get a new time slot or get kicked off the air.

It didn't bury the show for me. It actually did the opposite. Without Michael Cole I doubt I would be watching any more of season 2. With him, I can't wait to tune it, it's so damn entertaining.

This show was joke from begining, they made everyone look like complete idiots here. This is just too much and i think it will be closed in 3 weeks, everything this episode was made by Cole and even Matthews had some 'burial' moments for this crap.

I'm a fan of the divas (and I've enjoyed this season to an extent, just like I enjoyed the previous two) but the worst thing about last night was when he was burying the "joke-off" he was absolutely right. There's no way 6 new people going out there and telling jokes to a wrestling crowd is going to go over well.
But the rest of his comments throughout the night seemed counter-productive. He even buried the Bella's, and they're supposed to be the pro's!! Josh Matthews needed to stick up for the women more, or else what are the people at home gonna think if one commentator is really disliking what he's seeing and the other is un-enthusiatic about arguing with him?
He needs to be a full heel from now on in, because he's still teetering on being a straight guy which he can't be if he's going to throw out insults to these women, Daniel Bryan, R-Truth etc. It's counter-productive.

I thought he praised the Bellas for bringing "class" to the show.
Granted, he also said the same thing about Ziggler.
I only wish he had said this during Season 1 when the rookies were made to sell programs and run around the arena drinking Hush Puppies and so on.

But, what can you do? Talk about how great they are?
It's not just because they're the divas. It's because, for the most part, they suck. And I knew this was going to be bad, because it was going to make all the girls look bad, because it was going to build up the idea. Michael Cole is just saying what everyone is thinking.
My wish, again, it's sad that WWE is simply creating a show to try to appeal to people who like bad television. What retarded psychology is that? Watch our show because it sucks so bad? My wish is they had talented women and gave them an opportunity.
WWE would rather give an opportunity to a chick who couldn't stick her thumb up her ass in three tries then someone who has spent years on the indies working to try and get better.
AJ can wrestle a bit, but she can't be carrying people. Hell, Hamada couldn't carry Lacey Von Erich to a good match. How is AJ with half the talent of Hamada, going to be able to carry these slugs?

They pretty much buried the show and the concept of NXT with it. No channel is going to want it after that, not even VH1 would lay their hands on it after last night. They pretty much know NXT is done for as the whole thing has tanked ever since it appeared back in March. SyFy might even say To Hell with It and pull the plug even before Smackdown moves to its station.

Unless this group of girls does an NXT season three Playboy shoot, it will have been worthless.

Ding, ding, ding (or should that be gong, gong, gong?), we have a winner. Cole makes that show. WWE knows their general audience only cares about the divas for hotness, so they know they don't need to put them over as super performers. Instead, they are trying to get people to watch on a 'what the god lord is going to happen this week!?' bandwagon. And it's damn well working for me.

I thought he praised the Bellas for bringing "class" to the show. Granted, he also said the same thing about Ziggler. I forgot he said that, but later on he claimed that because the Bella's and Vickie were pro's, that mean that he and Josh Matthews should be pro's on the next season. Insulting Vickie is kinda of a given, but the shot at the Bella's (while kind of correct) isn't the cleverest thing to do.

Yeah it more or less just screamed out loud that "This show sucks!" Heel announcers usually try to get something over, namely the heels. Cole just buried the show and acted like a dick. It was amusing for all the wrong reasons. Can you imagine buying a ticket to see that show and then the main announcer goes out of his way to tell you how much the show sucks? It's like WCW circa 2000.

I think he meant that if someone with their limited experince could be pros, so could he and josh

The Bella Twins as pros is a joke and I'm glad Cole buried them. Hell even Sheamus kinda did it on RAW last night when he asked the Bellas "to make themselfs useful for a change" during a backstage segment

As has been said, Cole makes the show.
I'm utterly convinced that if you took 7 of the greatest female wrestlers ever to step foot in a ring, and treated it super-seriously, it wouldn't get over any better.

Just something I noticed also.
When Naomi is about to go, Striker says one more to go...cole repeats it like a question...then Striker says "Yeah".
So Striker can hear commentators?

Too often on here people throw out the word burial.
Bryan makes Alex Riley tape on Raw and people go 'OMG THEY BURIED RILEY, PROBABLY WON'T SEE HIM AGAIN' or on the other end of the spectrum if someone is handed a world title reign they'll say 'OMG THEY ARE BURYING PUNK/SHEAMUS' or whatever, which is totally ridiculous considering they never even had to have the title in the first place.
Michael Cole is playing a character and that character is saying the show sucks. Just because he says it, it isn't going to make everyone stop watching. Cole is playing an obnoxious douchebag character, it's very entertaining and is played for laughs.
