I never saw much fault with "silverback", since gorillas are generally known as strong animals. It's not really any different to me than if they had chosen a bear, rhino, bull, etc, only those are generally ones that have been used more.

The Cardiac Kid for Yoshi Tatsu, although that might be because Yoshi doesn't get screen time anyway.

Funny how a lot are Striker names he tries to push. The only one I even use is "Nattie By Nature", because I think it's cute.
One I remember was him calling David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd the "Stampede City Saints". For about a month he kept trying to push this name and it just never caught on. "Hart Dynasty" is just so much easier to say. I'm sure Matt still tries to push the name, but I've learned to filter out pretty much anything he says.

remember when Trips tried getting everyone to call him the King of Kings, and they even gave him new theme music that he'd alternate with his regular theme music just to get the nickname over? god that was stupid. it was like when you're a kid and you have a friend who'se always trying to give themselves a cool nickname and keep calling themselves by that even though no-one else does. and The Game was already a perfect nickname, he didn't need another one.

The Alabama Slama for Bob Holly. As if anyone cared. that was a dumb nickname, but I still wish they would've given Bob Holly an Alabama Man gimmick. complete with Trey Parker doing his theme song. "ALABAMA MAAAAUN!"

I wonder what Jesus thought of him trying to steal his nickname.

WWE (or was it still WWF at the time?) Ruthless Aggression. I agree right up til the point that Lord Voldemort referred to himself as "Toothless Agression" Then I liked it.

Despite not being the worst Striker repeatedly calling him Evan "Air" Bourne never stuck. I suppose because shortened it's silly. "What's up Air?" That might just have been because they named the SSP Air Bourne.... so it's kind of stupid to have your nickname be the same as your finisher

Don't forget... MatthewAnd let's call a spade a spade her with Mark Henry as far as the silverback thing goes. Keep in mind, I mean this in the least racist way possible. The dude DOES look like a gorilla. I'll go to bat for you, it's not colour, more the shape of him, the massive arms, the broadness of pretty much every body part he has. Posting the photos though... not in the best taste. Going back to the thread, peopel mentioning CLB, I still live that nickname, those are the initials of my stage name because of Christian. Here's one I'm not sure they've ever used, for Zombie Undertaker 'The Unliving Legend.' Oh, I was definately going for that as far as my reference with the body type etc, had nothing to do with color at all. That and I found the photo of him in a similar pose amusing because monkeys, gorillas, etc are ALWAYS funny. I should have clarified that part. Didn't mean to be offensive at all.

Was already mentioned, but "The One" Billy Gunn was pretty horrible.

How about The Hip Hop Hippo for ALBERT, I scanned this thread and not sure if it was mentioned yet.
They tried to get him over in a Rikishi type babyface role in late 01, early 02, he even enters the 02 RUmble and Jim Ross calls him this....god that was bad.
And the One Billy Gunn was not mentioned EARLY ENOUGH in this thread, I figured it would be the prime example.
