GAB 2004: Only good matches: WWE United States Champion John Cena def. Rene Dupree, Booker T and Rob Van Dam in a "Fatal 4-Way Elimination" Match to retain the title (15:44), WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rey Mysterio def. Chavo Guerrero to retain the title (19:45), John "Bradshaw" Layfield def. WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero in a Texas Bullrope Match to win the title (21:11), and The Undertaker def. WWE Tag Team Champions The Dudley Boyz in a "Concrete Crypt handicap" match (14:38). After the match, the Undertaker, pulled a lever which buried Paul Bearer in cement.
GAB 2005: Only good matches: The Undertaker defeated Muhammad Hassan to become the number 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship (8:04) After the match, The Undertaker executed The Last Ride on Hassan through open staging to the concrete floor. This is the second time that he has "killed off" another character at this PPV and Rey Mysterio defeated Eddie Guerrero (15:38) Since Rey won, Eddie was sworn never to reveal the secret he had been using to blackmail Rey. However, on the following SmackDown!, Eddie revealed that he had lied when he promised not to reveal the secret, and then went on to claim (in the storyline) that he was actually the father of Rey's real-life son Dominick.
I have a really good feeling that SmackDown! will produce a good Great American Bash this year.
Here's my card:
Batista vs. Mark Henry. Prediction: Batista.
U.S. Championship: King Booker w/ Queen Sharmell w/ Queen vs. Lashley (c). Prediction: Lashley
The Undertaker vs. The Great Khali w/ Daivari. Prdiction: Undertaker with him killing off Khali for all of wrestling sake.
World Heavyweight Championship: Someone vs. Rey Mysterio (c). Prediction: Rey, hands down.
That's all I got so far. I'll update or edit it later.

How was taker vs Hassan a good match? Most part of the match was Taker just beating the shit out of Hassan,Daivari and five other dudes by himself thats not good booking at all

Great American Bash has had some real stinkers (1991, 2004, 2005) but I love the 1996 GAB and 1989 had a very good one as well. I hope they find a way to make this years somewhat decent.

Everyone's talking about Taker "killing" Kahli, but how is he gonna do it? Will he set him on fire? I dunno how he could do it wihout being able to lift him. P.S. do you think the Spirit Squald could lift Kahli with their special move? P.S.S. If you don't know who I am, im new to the forums, but a longtime Crapper.

I agree with the poster that said the 96 GAB was one of the best PPV's out there. But sadly, this one will probably be remembered in the same ilk as 2004 and 2005. I'm surely not ordering this one.
I'll wait till Summerslam.

I'm thinking booker vs lashly, not booker vs rey, though thats wat it should be Booker and Lashley will face off yet again this week in a cage match, which I'm assuming will end the feud, so I don't think those two will be against each other on the PPV. Maybe Lashley vs. Finlay again, perhaps or even Regal.

Predictions for matches:
Rey Mysterio vs. King Booker
The Hooligans vs. The Pitbulls 2K6
Gregory Helms vs. the one Mexicool who doesn't jump to ECW
Bobby Lashley vs. either Fit Finlay or William Regal
Batista vs. Mark Henry
Mr. Kennedy vs. The Miz
The Great Khali vs. fodder
EDIT: And the Undertaker kills someone.

Ya know it's always odd how Smackdown goes from it's generally best ppv of the year (Judgment Day) to it's worst (The Great Awful Bash).
Judging by the name of this forum, this event should technically be this board's Christmas.

Well it's got to have a U.S. Title match, otherwise it wouldn't be very American. But whose the top talent against Lashley? I don't see Regal challenging, Finlay maybe. But heres to Matt Hardy (god I'm deluded)

There's no way i'm going to get suckered into order GAB.
I've wasted to much $$$ the last couple years on this event. I think i'm sitting this one out.

With the feuds smackdown has going, 50% of that show is going to be crap. A lot of matches have potential to be great though. Anything with the tag belts o the line will be a good match, Lashley and anyone from king booker's court would be cool, and if they give hardy the right opponent (they won't) that would be a good match. Otherwise, this show is going to be terrible.

I just want Undertaker to kill someone. If he doesn't, I'm going to be horribly disappointed.

what if Khali kills 'Taker instead? SORTA SWERVE I was thinking of that too, because Taker hasn't been on TV since Judgment Day and I think it would be really odd for him to just come back and beat Khali out of the blue like that.

I predict somebody will be seen walking backstage with Matt Hardy in the background and nobody making mention of Matt on commentary
