With the shirt, it is in reference to the teams celebratory stuff. Hitters do the claw to the dugout when they get a hit. Runners do the antlers when they steal a base, or do anything speed related.
It was something a lot of the current Rangers did when they were at AAA Oklahoma and they just brought it with them.

Would they feel better about a 3-0 loss, then 6-0?
It didn't effect the outcome.
Maybe they should think more about their ineffective offense.
