I'll cover any matches that come in, for those unfamiliar, I used to write matches pretty regularly in the past and usually manage to keep things even so both/all guys look good.
As I help booking local shows now too, I'd like to be able to try some ideas I have on here to see how they've perceived.

Hell, you should try the reverse too if you asked me - borrow storylines from here, if probably reworked.

Actually Square, Lodi's gimmick is basically that of Raven. So it works. It works if Lodi is just a carbon copy of Raven with a different name. Not cool, Square. Whitey, Lionhart, now Lodi--did you come back to this fed just to talk about how much everybody else sucks or what?

I'm a heel with a satanic/messianic complex. He's actually fashioned behind the idea of the Christian God and the Antichrist. Most of my promos are basically saying that you need to accept me as your savior or be punished for all eternity. I kind of wondered whether Descent might take exception to the statement that we were gods, actually, thinking it was blasphemous or whatever. Anyway, I'll write Metal's match.

Or I'm trying to get him to expand his character more so that it will be more fleshed out and better.

Although I will take (well, steal is more accurate) ideas for my match if Ryan Blood or anyone else has any.
But yeah, I wanna reiterate that we should all be friends. Friends who go on picnics together and take long walks on the beach. 'Cos that's what friends do, my friends. Not like the TV show "Friends" where they sit around cracking jokes and falling in love with each other in convoluted manners, no, no. Actual friends, the kind of friends who will come and pick you up if your car breaks down, or make bids on things you sell on eBay so that other people will go higher, or help you bury the body of that hooker you just killed, or...
Yeah, I've gone too far.

The idea of the character was related to the ideas of Raven, with a few true facts tossed into it. I'm not trying to imitate him, but there are some things that he (Lodi) does that are very similar to Raven.
Truthfully, if I do need to expand the character in any way, shape, or form, or if it reminds you too much of Raven, speak now and I'm on it.

When Scott Levy comes and plays our e-fed, worry about it. Until then, nothing wrong with it.

I didn't intend it this way, but I think my character is morphing into ROH DBD, as in, tweener with no overt gimmick, but somewhat a face due to in ring ability and respect for others and what's right. Anyone else seeing this?

Or I'm trying to get him to expand his character more so that it will be more fleshed out and better. It's not always what you say, but how you say it. Take Lionhart. Was I blown away by his promos? Honestly, no, but what I did was to PM the guy when he was losing all his matches and say to him something like "If you don't mind a little advice, I think the reason that people aren't voting is this, this, and this." One of the things I told him was that spelling, punctuation, and capitalization made a difference, and that it would probably help if he got somebody with better knowledge of that stuff to look over his promos before he posted them and correct any errors. I also told him, later on, that using "Quoth the Lionhart, nevermore," didn't really work, and I explained why. I explained that it made sense as a catchphrase for Raven because Scott Levy got his ring name from the poem by Poe "The Raven", in which this creepy black bird keeps on saying "nevermore" to the guy he's haunting. It doesn't work if you're patterning yourself after a lion, or after a combination of Chris Jericho and Bret Hart rather than Raven. That's constructive criticism, and he told me he appreciated it. What you did was to respond to somebody who told you a joke sucked by saying "Still better than a Lionhart promo." That's not constructive criticism. That's a hell of a lot more likely to piss the person off or hurt their feelings than motivate them to become better. Particularly since you didn't actually bother to point out what the flaws were that you felt he needed to address. You just said he was awful.

Yeah, I've gone too far. Oh great, now who am I gonna get to help me with this body on such short notice? I'd like it if we all got along too, Metal, but sometimes it's difficult to let certain things pass. That said, hopefully this won't drag on for very long and we can get back to the status quo fairly quick. I don't actually have any additional ideas for you, although I did think of some problems with the idea that I sent you earlier. I thought about it and came up with what I think might be workable solutions, so I'll PM you with those in case my idea and opponent were the ones you picked. For the most part, I don't find LodiRulz to be a carbon copy of Raven at all. There are similarities, sure. But there are also similarities between JBL and Alberto Del Rio, and there are similarities between Goldust and Exotic Adrian Street. Doesn't mean that only one of the characters is good. The only thing I'd change would be the name of the match you picked, the "Orange Clockwork House of Fun". Because that is a match that Raven invented, apparently. Alternatively, what you could do instead is to make it clear that while you want to have a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match, you're not claiming that it's an invention of Lodi's.

I got a question for people that have joined recently, do you read past shows to try and get a sense of the history or do you just go into the now and present?

I read the 2 weeks before I joined, but I decided that I would promo better as a newcomer if I was giving every character a blank slate. eg, the first thing I saw of Colt was the owlhole leader of the Trinity

Knowing the history helps, I guess, but sometimes it's difficult to find what you're looking for.
It's easy to look stuff up on the WWCF website, since you've got a list of PPVs, NiteRaws, and Heatzs to choose from. If you want to read what happened in the match between Aaron Enigma and Jazzman for the world title, for instance, you can find that it took place at last year's King Of WrestleCrap and bring up that PPV to read pretty quickly.
If you're looking for something on here, though, it's a little harder. Say you want to find the Chicago Death Match between Vokoun and Starshine. I just tried a forum search for "Chicago Death Match", which you'd think would give me a list of posts in which that phrase appeared. But at first the only thing I got was the post at the beginning of this thread. Then I realized that it was only showing me posts from the past seven days, so I adjusted the settings to show stuff from the last 300 days, maximum number of posts 1000. That should have worked, I thought. I still wound up with a lot of posts to scroll through, and when I got to the bottom of the first page and still didn't find the PPV with the match, I clicked on page 2...which for some reason took me to page two of this thread instead of the second page of posts with the words "Chicago Death Match" in them.
So as far as the stuff posted in the forums here goes, I find it's usually just easier to ask what happened, or get somebody to give you a link.

I know my lazy bones are in no position to say this, but I wanna give a big kudos to Socko for all of the hard work he's done here. He's kept the peace here for a while, and I just wanna say thank you for that.
I swear, once this creative rut is gone and I'm not deathly ill, I'll start writing again.

SWEAR WORDS!
Now I have to scratch the promo I was writing.
And I have exactly crap to do now.
Every single person I've been feuding with is busy.
