Which would be a better logo for WWE?

So while we've basically the scratch WWE logo since 1998, which is more than ten years and I honestly feel that we need a change as WWE doesn't represent the attitude era anymore and the logo seems very antiquated. I sort of feel the WWE HD logo minus the HD part would be much better as it doesn't look too childish but not as aggressive of a look, that signifies sex and blood that WWE frowns upon now. Or would something else be better?

As a corporate/merchandise logo, have the WWEHD logo without the HD. For TV, with the HD.

I kind of like the block logo they have on some DVDs (I first saw it on the Dusty Rhodes DVD) best. Where it's like the old block logo without the F. I think I'd really like one like that with an E at the end of the Ws.

It still resembles the WWE logo, it has the old WWF look from Vince's favorite era, and it was made for John Cena.

I can't help but think that the WWE HD logo is... Kind of the opposite of a logo, in the conventional sense. It's just the company name in a very basic font without any stylisation. More a letterhead than a logo. I do think it'd be a good idea to replace the current logo, but I'd rather have something with a little flair. (No, not David.)

I like the scratch logo just fine but if it were to change, something that has more than 2D depth would be cool.

I was just thinking about this last night, the WWE scratch logo has lasted almost twice as long as the WWF scratch logo which it originated from...and it needs go.
The HD one just looks too generic though.
While I do dig the retro block one, I think they need something that incorporates an actual E into it...unless Vince still has hopes of one day reclaiming the F.

I remember seeing something like this that might have been an Indy fed's logo on another forum somewhere. It was a block W with a scratch W overlaid on it, for a sort of best-of-both-worlds look. Looked pretty sweet, though I'm not sure how it would work in 2D.

I'd still love to see them come up with something completely new that integrates the E finally. Although let's face it, anything'll be better than the last two WCW logos.

I agree, the style itself looks too 80's.

I also agree they should get a new logo for similar reasons as the scratch looks more 90ish (when everything was XTREME!)

but the WWEHD logo looks far too generic to be the companies main logo.

If they change it I would suggest doing the two W's on top of each other again for brand recognition but I don't know exactly the style.

Whatever they do, they need something new. That sctatch logo just screams "Hey look, it's the 90's! Look how in your face and extreme we are!". It's becoming as dated as the old block logo is.

They really need something modern.

I know we've talked about this before Bob, but...I have a feeling Vince McMahon won't ever settle with the Wildlife Fund.

Which is not to say that Stephanie McMahon won't do it in a heartbeat once Vince is gone. I think she's a very savvy businesswoman, and if nothing else, I think (I HOPE) she knows the absolute F***TON of cash she could make by re-issuing the old DVDs (hell maybe even on Blu-Ray!) "uncensored and unedited for the first time in a DECADE" or somesuch.

Would tie in to a return to an edgier product (should Attitude 2.0 arise) as well. ;D

It would work the WWF/E scratch logo is so 1990's the WWF 1980's logo without the F would work it is clean and recognizable.
