Why DOES JR like overusing the Kool-Aid line? I'm sick of references from 2001-2002.

I'm pretty sure J.R was reacting to fan comments, and it's just a funny coincidence that Austin said what he said. J.R also posted a few complaints about the list, so it's not like he thought it was perfect. Not sure where kool-aid fits with all this.

I was thinking that Steve Austin had joined a cult or something and J.R. was trying to snap him out of it. Just wait until Stone Cold finds out that they don't serve beer in Blisstonia.

Lists are bullshit anyway. There shouldn't even be any IMO

How else do you limit the DVD though?
Gotta have a list in order to do that.

Austin also has something in stake in it. He's on the friggin list.
Thing about J.R is he'll over-react sometimes, but he always tends to ground himself and kinda walk the line in judgment-calls like this.
The list is BS, IMO.

JR is bitter it seems since Vince possibly has no more use for him.

JR is bitter it seems since Vince possibly has no more use for him. He's so bitter against the WWE that he defends it? It's a bad list and as with WW Hall of Fame it's all who they like. It should just name the 50 best superstars insteading of ranking them. Like the 50 greatest NBA players is just there. It has it's problems too but not like this list.

I'm going to have to go with Austin on this one. How Randy Orton is even on that list boggles my mind. And Ric Flair needs to be about 16 places higher, imo.

The list is stupid and clearly biased against guys who are currently in TNA. That's all that really needs to be said about it.

Lists are bulls*** anyway. There shouldn't even be any IMO Depends. The WWEs #50 list is a bit awkward because they haven't outright stated how the list was produced (The main theory is that it's the Superstars who voted, hence why some are higher then others). The important thing to remember about lists is that they are either a) one mans personal opinion and should not be taken as gospel, just another take on something and b) an average of a group of individual opinions which also should not be taken as gospel

sucks that J.R. thinks he has to stick up for the decisions of people who could clearly care less about him. they just don't want to lose him to the competition. wwe would let him sit in silence, unused, rather than have him on the air.
Jim Ross calling ROH matches would be great. and he'd love doing it, i'm sure.

The thing about JR is, he's a company man, but he's not a shill. There's been times where he's disagreed about stuff that was going on with the company, but he's always been diplomatic about it. If JR says he likes the list as his own opinion, I'm inclined to believe he's not towing a company line, but saying how he feels. Same with Austin.

The problem is that it's a ranked list, rather than a collection of 50 of the greatest superstars in no particular order. To me, most of everyone on it deserves the recognition, but wrestling is way too subjective to make a "Top 50".
