So I was playing Mass Effect 2 and it asked to switch disks. I was like WTF I'm already on the second disk? This is bulls***! EDIT: If you had to recommend me one DLC for Mass Effect or ME2, which do you you think I should get?

EDIT: If you had to recommend me one DLC for Mass Effect or ME2, which do you you think I should get? ME2 does this weird thing. The game essentially has 4 parts. Part 1 is on Disc 1, Part 2 and 3 are on Disc 2, and Part 4 is on Disc 1. Yes, instead of doing the LOGICAL thing if Part 1 and 2 on Disc 1 and 3 and 4 on Disc 2, so you just have to switch discs once, in playing ME2, you have to play Disc 1, switch it to Disc 2, and then switch it back to Disc 1.

Yeah the Amazon deal is how I got New Vegas, Smackdown vs Raw, and Rock Band 3 for 95 bucks. Well I also had a 20 dollar game credit from Fable 3 as well.

I can't get ESPN3 and I don't know if FairPoint Communications ever would, so that's disappointing. The new menus are a little too bright. I think the moving of Quick Launch to the Games tab makes sense, and obviously making the menus straighter will help those who get Kinect. I can't imagine trying to wave along the angle the old menus moved in.Overall, nothing but the Netflix search seemed necessary for my own purposes, but I'm clearly not the only one on XBL.

I don't like it being 'straighter' but I guess I'll just have to get used to it.

The one thing I don't like is that they moved the Indie Games away from the main game section of the marketplace and shoved them with the Game Room and Avatar marketplace.

Yeah, I understand their reasoning, though. Might as well slap all the cheaper stuff together for those of us who buy point cards so you when you buy say, the L4D expansions for $7, you can find cheap stuff to use up the rest on.

I guess they lost hope for the indie channel when they made "Get Rich or Die Gaming" the top downloaded game over the superior "Nuclear Wasteland". I know I did.

And now for some lulz courtesy of Microsoft.
The first 3,000 people who line up to buy Kinect at launch at MS' launch party location at the Toys 'R Us in Times Square will get $150 worth of free swag. They get free copies of Kinect Sports and Kinect Joy Ride, and a full year of Gold.
So many lulz here. So many lulz. First off, MS honest to God thinks that they'll get 3,000 people to come to this store to buy Kinect on launch. They'll get over 3,000 people there, for sure, thanks to the huge party they are throwing, but I doubt even 1/3 of those people will be there to buy Kinect. Secondly, MS is pretty much paying people to buy Kinect. Thirdly, they are giving you even more crap games. They couldn't even have the common decency to give them Dance Central. Oh well, if I was in NYC and took advantage of this, the next day, I would dump Kinect Sports and Kinect Joy Ride off at GameStop, seeing how they are brand new $50 games, it'll probably fetch me $20-$25 in store credit a pop, and then I would flip my new found $40-$50 in credit to get Dance Central either for super cheap or totally free(barring tax).
And of course, if I was one of those people who buy the newest tech item only to turn around and sell it on eBay, well I'd keep the year of Live for myself, but pretty much, MS would've given me, for free, two extra games to make it into a sweet bundle and thus I can jack up the price. Pure profit, baby.
So yes, many lulz, MS, many lulz.

Any casual folk interested in motion controlled gaming already has a Wii, and I don't think I've heard anyone who would classify as a gamer show any interest in Kinect.

I dunno, Kinect's hype has picked up a good amount of steam amongst the mainstream media after Oprah had it on her show and gave it away to her audience. I'm fully expecting, any time this week, to see the Today Show have a segment showing off the device. MS is doing the one thing needed to make this a success, though, they are creating an artificially created shortage. MS is going to have more than enough of these things, but they are only doing like one or two shipments of them before Christmas. Thus the general public is going to think it is flying off the shelves and will do anything to have it. But, despite MS' best hopes, it isn't going to be the biggest thing in gaming this holiday season. That is going to be Call of Duty: Black Ops.

I went on a trip to GAME today and found Spiderman Shattered Dimensions in the used section for 18 pounds.
The game surely can't be that bad? I bought it not played it yet as i've been too busy with my College project.
So anyone with Spiderman:Shattered Dimensions is that a good deal?

Then its going to be a very sad holiday season if friggin Treyarch is making the so called biggest game of the season. I say so called because no one I know who plays games is talking about it....no one. They are all talking about the WOW expansion. Besides, there is no chance in hell that Black Ops does anywhere near as well as Modern Warfare 2.

Besides, there is no chance in hell that Black Ops does anywhere near as well as Modern Warfare 2. No chance in hell? I'd think the fact that the game has more pre-orders than MW2 did might say otherwise. Plus, it is on 4 platforms(PC, PS3, 360, and Wii). That means more people can buy the game.

I bought it not played it yet as i've been too busy with my College project. So anyone with Spiderman:Shattered Dimensions is that a good deal? One of my L4D2 online friends bought it and has been playing it regularly and says it's really enjoyable, challenging but not too frustrating. Sounds like a good deal. I had to laugh as from what I heard the gamestop exclusive skins amounted to like... $2 in Microsoft funbucks. Oh, and thank goodness for RPG launchers in Saints Row 2. I stocked up on them during a mission and never really used them much afterwards as I have infinite assault rifle ammo and just take out helicopters that way. Anyway, got to a stronghold mission where I needed to blow up trailers. Ran out of satchels ridiculously early, couldn't find anymore and decided to try out the RPG. It made it ridiculously easy... I stood completely still for three, then sprinted a few feet to line up the final one.

So the winter XBox bundle was announced (well one anyway, there's been some reports they maybe others). This one is the 250 GB with Forza 3 and a DL code for Alan Wake. Gotta say... disappointing. I guess this sorta shows the year the 360's had for exclusive titles. Forza 3 was in last year's with ODST. I didn't expect Reach or Fable 3 or anything, but still. Why not unload some copies of Crackdown 2 instead or something. The Alan Wake code is smart on their part. It's gotten great reviews, but basically everyone I know played it, beat it and traded it in. Might as well stop them from that. Oh, and apparently the supposed gun controller ban was lifted on the 360. BEHOLD Could be cool if indie developers take advantage and map out the button layouts for some games with different themes.

Well, I can understand why they went with Forza. Almost all of their holiday bundles has that one "casual" game and that one "hardcore" game. Basically they make sure any consumer who buys the bundle can enjoy at least one of the games. Sure this year's exclusives have been thin, but at the same time, I don't think anyone would buy a Crackdown 2/Alan Wake bundle. As for that gun controller. I wonder if this means we'll eventually see a 360 Time Crisis game?
