doesn't matter. Blowing teams out is blowing teams out, and a terrific indicator of future success. This is not a recording. The only gauge of a team's actual ceiling is not wins over an arbitrarily selected group of "good teams". This is not a recording. I understand that there are statistics out there to disprove what I'm saying, but I'm using the visual test. don't use the visual test. The visual test is wrong. success in close games is by and large a factor of luck. Obviously, there is skill and execution involved, but if you lose by 4 or win by 4, isn't that sort of a "anyone's game" situation? You're talking about 1 or 2 possessions over the course of a game. A layup that rolled out, or a turnover. That's a terrible metric to evaluate a team's ability. That's a bad visual test. When good teams play one another, it becomes a toss up. Take tonight for example. 2 point win. Was either team heavily favored? Unlikely. It becomes a problem if they can't do it, numerous times in a row, over a short period of time, against the same team. In other words, a series. That's just elementary statistics. You're talking about isolated incidents; I'm trying to formulate a larger picture of what kind of team Miami is, that's all. I get it, you're a Boston fan, so hate on. You've got a reason to, at least. (Disclaimer: I am not a Heat fan; I just find them incredibly fascinating). Lastly, a word of advice: starting a post with "I understand that there are statistics out there to disprove what I'm saying," probably isn't the best idea.

Somewhere I'm sure Dwayne Wade is in disbelief he didn't get to the free throw line 75 more times.

Woo hoo! 3 straight wins for the Clippers, and 16 straight double doubles for Blake Griffin. If Sterling ever wants to be in anyone's good graces, he better work on keeping Griffin around and getting players that compliment him. A pipe dream, but this might be the salvation Clippers fans have been dying for.

Kind of early, but based on how the teams have started who do you see going to the finals?

Kind of early, but based on how the teams have started who do you see going to the finals? The Cavs and Kings meet in the first Finals series to be defeated in the ratings by TNA Impact!

The Mavs making it to the Finals? I've got Lakers/Celtics III on tap. Though it hinges on the collective health of both Andrew Bynum & Rajon Rondo.

WTF, Lakers!? Getting destroyed by the BUCKS!!! In the words of the Immortal admiral Ackbar: This game was a trap game from a mile away. Coming back from a 7 game road trip (technically 6 since we played the Clippers as a Clipper home game) 6-1 and on a five game winning streak, it was bound to happen. Not to mention that the nWo's in town on Christmas and as much as they deny it, they're already thinking about it. Also Dallas, didn't you guys lose to the Bucks too? And didn't that kill an even bigger winning streak? Don't think I forgot Lex
