Wade out tonight against Phoenix with a sore knee And oof, Orlando is opening up a can on the Spurs. Up 88-71 late in the 3rd. Dwayne Wade injured? Who could have ever predicted that.... Well whoever does may want to wait until he actually is. He's being sat out to rest it and be ready Saturday.

Oh, and the game itself is over. Dudley gets a new career high but the Heat hold Nash to 4 points and rack up their 8th straight road win by double digits. LeBron and Bosh dominated.

If you have to rest your knee its not perfect to begin with. very few athletes complete a season, or even a half season, in "perfect" condition. Its a matter of rest and risk assessment. People need to understand these guys better; what they're about. Will Timmy sit a few games due to various maladies this year? Probably. KG? Ray? Manu? Dirk? Boozer? Nash? Amare? Kobe? Dozens of others? Believe me, most of these guys aren't 100% even before the All Star break. They weather it and rest when they think they can.

The win streak is over, but Blake Griffin's double double streak is now at 17 games. Plus, he did this piece of domination. He's just not human, the guy has to be Kryptonian or something. I want him in the Dunk Contest. He could be the spark to get the big names back in there. Come on Blake, Dwight, LeBron and maybe Josh Smith would bring the house down.

Pistons guard Rip Hamilton is growing increasingly frustrated with his new bench role, according to Yahoo! Sports, and could soon push for a trade.
The Nets have had continued talks about possibly acquiring Blazers guard Andre Miller, in addition to Carmelo Anthony.
Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com writes, "With each special DeMarcus Cousins moment, chances increase the Kings will send [the overall] No. 5 pick to the D-League."

You know, I was thinking. There are five games tomorrow, each great to elite match-ups that are getting a lot of hype. And since we're running with this NBA= WCW circa 1996-2000, I was thinking that maybe we could hype tomorrow up here on the boards like a Starrcade or some huge WCW ppv card.
Portland/Golden State could be considered the opener (Yes, I know it's the last game of the night, but Ultimo Dragon and High Voltage are going at it and both teams are young and can work fast, so it's an opener)
OKC/ Denver could the second match on the card, NYK/CHI third and so on and the Lakers/Heat obviously being the main event.
Sound like a fun idea?
p.s. Speaking of the nWo, get ready bitches. Goldberg's taking you all out.

I don't see why Mongo-Eddie couldn't open the card. Eddie would be relegated to curtain jerker status from time to time in WCW (remember those 6-man luchador matches). Either way, it's a pretty damn good card. Oh, and if we're gonna make this Starrcade there need to be a lot of mentions of the "pay windah."

So, what match-up do you think could steal the show? I personally think Eddie/Mongo or Jericho/Steiners could really be something awesome outside of what we expect to be the best game tomorrow.

Hell it is so rare that any player makes it through the whole season "healthy" that they made a huge deal out of it when 4 of the Thunder's starting 5(I think Krstic was the only one not to do it) started all 82 games in the regular season last year. Of course fast forward to this year, and the only two of the Thunder's starting 5 to play in all 30 games so far this season are Westbrook and Sefolosha.

Ron Artest says he plans on making LeBron James angry when they play on Saturday, although he's not revealing exactly what he'll say or do.
Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee reportedly got into an altercation outside a nightclub early Friday morning.
They were seen screaming profanities at each other outside the Shadow Room in D.C., and also threw some punches while inside the establishment. Al Thornton tried to intervene and was said to be punched by a bouncer. Blatche said via text messages that they were all simply trying to avoid the fights going on around them, but either way, this is not news the Wizards and their fans wanted to read on Christmas. They will play the Spurs on Sunday, but it doesn't sound like any disciplinary actions will result because of this news.

Those are my two picks, especially Eddie/Mongo. I also think it would be fitting if the nWo won on some questionable foul called on Goldberg. Nick Patrick, anyone?

Andrew Bynum is likely "a week or two" away from playing heavy minutes, according to Phil Jackson.
The Wizards have reportedly considered trading Andray Blatche even before his Christmas Eve scuffle at a nightclub.
