I loved Interview with the Vampire as well. I almost considered reading Queen of the Damned next, but it took me forever to get through The Vampire Lestat. Lestat was a good book though, just took a while. I'm sure I'll get to Queen eventually. Queen was one of the most entertaining books I have ever read. Blood and Gold is barley my fave AR book with Queen right behind. Worth reading Queen of the Damned. Get it dude. trust me I actually bought a four pack of the first four books in the series a while back so I have Queen already, but just need to get around to reading it. I'm tempted to read the whole core series of Vampire Chronicles books. I'm wondering since I'm thinking you might have read them all already, without spoilers does the series have a satisfying end? I know Rice has vowed only to write religious books from now on, so I would definitely hope after reading the 10 books that there is a satisfying end as I know no more will be published.

Sex Crimes by Alice Vachss. Really interesting read!
EDIT: Also reading- Let's Bring Back: An Encyclopedia of Forgotten-Yet-Delightful, Chic, Useful, Curious, and Otherwise Commendable Things from Times Gone By by Lesley Blume. Because I love antiques and pretty much anything 1950s/pre-1950s.

I know Rice has vowed only to write religious books from now on, so I would definitely hope after reading the 10 books that there is a satisfying end as I know no more will be published. Each book is episodic so the total end to the series in "Blood canticle" (written/released in 2003) dosn't un-do the stories you read from Interview thru Memnoch the Devil. The novels after Memnoch follow up the core books but are not central to the total story of Lestat. If you love Lestat as the hero of the series than stop after reading "Merrick". Pandora and Vittorio are almost completely seperate from the chronicles but are good reads none the less. I enjoyed Blackwood Farm after a fashion but it was difficult to swallow because of some of the crossovers in it and Blood Canticle was it's sequel I wish could be stricken from all recorded history because it just wasn't like her. I am not alone in feeling this way either. AR blasted her fans who were critical of these two novels in a famous Amazon.com interview. She then moved onto do the religious centered books. She has not finished Christ the Lord(thank Christ the Lord) because they didn't sell, were confusing and she has parted ways with the church. She released two books following Angles on earth and I am considreing giving them a chance

Got two new books today. The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett (the first Discworld novel, i read Discworld before but only in german, i wanted to start all over in the original language) and Philip K. Dick - The Man in the High Castle. I don't know what Penguin Books was thinking when they made the Cover for the Book, i got so many weird looks while waiting for the Bus...the cover is the american flag but instead of the stars it has several swastikas on it. It fits the theme, as the book is about Nazi Germany and Japan winning the second world war and ruling the world (USA is divided into 3 zones: The eastern parts belong to germany, the western to japan and around the rocky mountains is something of a neutral zone) but here in germany...you get weird looks.
I read into it and so far it has been interesting. I always liked those "what could've happened" stories

Cell by Stephen King. Never thought that I would like this one as much as I do now. CELL is a damned fine read. And with the sheer amount of the things around...the story really does kind of unnerve you. ;D Anyone heard anything more about the movie adaptation of CELL that King and Eli Roth were working on?
