Generally I don't criticise much the WWE does, but that was one of the stupidest segments of 2010. Tyson Kidd is a great wrestler. Jackson Andrews doesn't need to wrestle; he's a bodyguard and his height gives him a great look. The two together have a tonne of potential. The backstage segment with Daniel Bryan was one of the most obvious set-up angles that WWE does every now and again, and all they needed to do was have Tyson beat Henry, then Jackson add a beating after the match to give the duo some momentum.
Yet, for whatever reason they decided to have Tyson lose clean, then have Henry finish off Jackson (who they've been hyping as this intimidating figure). Well now Tyson looks like a chump, and Jackson got beat up by the first person he had a stare-down with. Great job. Their momentum is non-exsistent.
There was no reason for it. Henry's winding down now. He didn't need the win. Tyson did. And Jackson needed to look intimidating.

It's just amazing that months ago Henry was getting massive reactions and when he raised his hand, the people went nuts for it. Now... Conway Pop.

What a terrible "showcase" of a new duo. Kidd loses to Mark Henry, who's the big jolly jobber these days pretty much. To make matters worse, his bodyguard just loses any and all "big man monster" aura in his first real face to face confrontation with anybody, by getting his ass kicked by Mark Henry. Nothing about that match/segment made any sense whatsoever. To me, it looked like them saying, yeah so we made a mistake with these guys and this is us writing them off, so they aren't important and ignore the fact we talked them up for a few weeks and carry on with your lives. Pretty much that. Watching it, I had no idea what the point of it was besides writing off Kidd and his bodyguard as threats. Just feels like jumping the gun, in both bringing the guy up and realising it's not working after...a week.

I can buy Henry beating Kidd. He's like...250 pounds heavier.
Jackson Andrews sucks anyway. Not like he'd bring much to the table.

The Hart Dynasty should've never happened. Him and Natalya were great and had this sense of silent douchebaggery about him. I wanted him to get his ass kicked. Then they paired him with DH, who honestly has to be the least charismatic wrestler I've ever seen in my entire life. Oh well, at least we got face Natalya out of this

When you're near seven feet, made of muscle and less intimidating than the Bellas, that's a problem. If you're too green to be a Body Guard than chances are you're not going to be around for too long.
Kidd will be fine, a feud with Bryan would be nice. It's a shame Hart and HBK made amends on TV, because "Last Student of the Hart Dungeon vs. Guy trained by HBK" would have made a decent angle.

If he sucks in the ring or isn't ready, why even put him on television? I don't get that logic Don't bring guys up that aren't ready, blame them for not getting over with no build up or hype, and then fire them. That makes no sense. Presumably cuz he's tall. That's legit all I've been able to gather since he's been on television. Any time anyone's ever a "bodyguard" read that as: they can't wrestle, so just have them stand there and look menacing. And like RD once said about Giant Gonzalez, Andrews looks more like an out of work basketball player than a menacing giant.

if they were writing off Kidd, then this match would have been on Superstars and there would not have been a backstage segement.
The WWE first developed some personality for Kidd, then showed themselves as unpredictable.

Being unpredictable is not a substitute for bad booking though. It'd have been the easiest thing in the world for them to have Tyson realize he's not quite ready to take on a guy Henry's size and either get DQ'ed or otherwise try to hightail it outta there.
When he's attempting that Henry tries to get to him only to be stared down by Garfield A. Arthur there; Kidd attacks from behind with a chair, a kendo stick, whatever briefly knocking Henry down and he and Lincoln Harrison there leave with Kidd acting all cocky as if he's accomplished some great feat.
Henry recovers enough to stare menacingly at the duo as they retreat up the ramp.
Simple.

I was legit shocked by that. I thought for sure that Fillmore Van Buren would show off his mighty roid arms by slamming Henry.
But poof, he's done as a legit threat to anyone.
This is worse than when they had Paul Wight jobbed out two weeks after his debut.

Look out here comes JACKSON ANDREWS!
JACKSON ANDREWS with the leg drop!
Vintage JACKSON ANDREWS!
JACKSON ANDREWS HAS PICKED UP THE TWISTY ROCKETS!
I just don't think I want to hear that every night should he become a mainstay.
Whoever chose that name must have chosen it out of the Big Book of Generic Wrestler Names. I thinks that where they got the name Kenny Dykstra from.

Frankly Its getting tiresome how every 5'3 guy who "knows how to wrestle or young new guy is deemed having been unfairly treated by the IWC groupthink. There is a reason why Dan is a huge success and Tyson is not.

Yeah, it's hard for me to not see this as killing Giant Kurrgan Junior off. I mean why else would you have a guy who you are trying to push as a Diesel like bodyguard get laid out in his first face to face with someone? For surprise?
Yeah, it was a surprise but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a good one. It's the equivalent of me ordering a pizza only to open the box and find a hamburger inside. Sure, it wasn't what I was expecting but it's likely that I'll never order from that place again. There's nothing wrong with being predictable, especially when it comes to basic stuff like this.
It's probably like what happened with Mordecai. He didn't get over like they expected him to so they had Rey Mysterio beat the guy a few weeks after he debuted and shipped him back to developmental.
I foresee a similar trip for this guy.

There is a reason why Dan is a huge success and Tyson is not. The strangest thing is that the vast majority of posts discussing Tyson Kidd since the Hart Dynasty breakup have generally agreed that he's lame and sucks. And yet, now that he's being used as job fodder to a guy who actually has gotten decent heat at various points in his career, Tyson's suddenly a promising young talent being held down by the big bad corporation. And I can't recall a single good word being said about Jackson Andrews. When he first showed up, there were groans about WWE bringing in yet another big hoss with no notable talents. Then he gets his ass kicked, and now it's some horrible travesty that WWE isn't building him up as a future star.
