Well, it looks like they don't. While it could be the first in many matches between the Miz and Morrison, it seems odd to have him choose next weeks Raw to challenge the Miz.
I still don't think he is a main event guy. This is the case with most of the guys right now. He seems so dull to me, which might not be his fault. It could be the writing. Still, while he is a tremendous in ring guy, he has no...life in him.
They need to actually enforce his gimmick of the hippie intellectual. Whats the point of the music, and the fur and shades, but he's just a normal guy saying normal things? His gimmick has just been dropped completely. When is the last time the Palace of Wisdom was given a full mention?
Has the WWE cooled on JoMo, or is this part of "the bigger picture"?

I thought they were beggining to. But I'm dissapointed that their match is going to be next week. But here's to hoping it either never gets started or ends in a Shmozz leading to a proper match at the Rumble.

Yeah - his interactions tonight left a lot to be desired.
The guy is not a talker. He's had many years to develop and it hasn't happened.
When Dolph Ziggler can out promo you, its a real problem.

In my eyes, that ladder match at TLC cemented him as a main event player.
I think that the WWE believes in him, but they're not fully ready to launch him into a main event program. Next week's Raw will be them testing the waters to see how well a JoMo vs Miz main event works.

I wouldn't say it's the end just yet, he's improving on the mic (I thought his interaction in ring with miz last night after the match with lawler was pretty awesome). And frankly I don't get the hate on his promos when we praise Orton's in the same breath.
And I think they're gonna have him lose and build him up for the rumble. They still have to wash all this orton out of the main event picture so I'd rather see Morrison get a story of pretty much winning next week, getting screwed over and having to take the hard road to get another shot while the orton/miz program finishes.
I think this is a big picture, dare I say he may be getting the build Benoit got going into WM20.

"Intellectual" isn't going to happen, since Hipster values run pretty counter to Vince's, and therefore Vince doesn't see someone with Hipster values as a face.

I'm more concerned about all of the cheers it got. Next week he's going to confront The Miz and tell him that he'll punt a puppy, just to see the look on its face. Cue wild cheers.

I remember a lot of homophobic or sexist promos cut by some of the attitude era "greats" and shutter because they got huge ovations. I think a lot of crowds don't really listen to the content, just the rise and falls of the tones and wait for the catchphrase to cheer.

I couldnt believe they were gonna squander his title match on next weeks Raw. Thats just stupid and illogical. I personally wouldve had him pencil it in for Wrestlemania, and have the Miz living in fear of JoMo constantly chasing him.

I think that next week Morrison will win the title Via Jerry Lawler. Hold the Title up till Elimination Chamber and drop it back to the Miz. Go into Mania and win Money in The Bank.

The sort of do this thing every year when someone new wins the WWE title and someone else is that is feuding for it is new, then its treated like a secondary program. I'm just angry that its happening to both Miz and JoMo.

The thing that really gets to me about this is that JoMo is that he CAN have good promo's, as he was able to show during his original ECW Title run at that start of hippie rock star character. He was showing a perfect amount of charisma and personality with some funny and other intense promos, in my opinion. Unfortunetly it looks like either he isnt given as much freedom due to him being on the main show or that the writing team has changed and wrestlers are given less chance to write their own promos, either way. He deffintely is main event material and if his run in Summer 09 on Smackdown doesnt prove it I dont know what will.

Personally I think Morrison's just fine on the mic. Certainly better than his spiritual predecessor Jeff Hardy.

I have no idea anymore. They run so hot and cold on him, it's hard to say what they're planning on doing.
I still, sadly, think the idea is just to give JoMo enough token wins that he's credible enough to put over whichever flavors of the month WWE feels like pushing at the moment. His spectacular push from last year was wasted on laying down for McIntyre, Swagger, and Sheffield, none of whom have gone on to anything of significance. I can see this one wrapping up with Miz beating him clean. Repeatedly.

It's not a case of whether they believe in him or not. Everything and everyone on Raw has to be sacrificed on the altar of SuperCena's push. When the WWE champion has his match before intermission at the Garden, and someone not even in the title picture is in the main event, something is really wrong there. Hunter and Jarrett at their worst have nothing on Cena

He's got the athleticism to be the guy-probably the best pure athlete in WWE right now. And I don't get why people say he's got bad mic skills. When he was feuding with Drew McIntyre over the IC title, I liked his Braveheart promo. The fourth-grade insults hurled at DiBiase and Maryse that one time, I chalk up to the incompetent PG-oriented writers.
But will he be on the level of Cena and Orton in terms of title shots and main event runs? Probably not. Those two are Raw's bread and butter, and Vince is not likely to mess with that unless one of them gets injured.
