Kurt Angle wasn't a sympathetic heel after Survivor Series 2001.
They spent the entire next night on Raw pointing out he had spent a month attacking team WWF with chairs and that he wasn't loyal to any side. He was just out to make sure he kept a job regardless of which company it was, he wasn't heroically saving the WWF.
The Austin face turn still baffles me to this day though.
The Triple H Orton feud in 2009 comes to mind here. Now I'm not saying Orton was perfect but he had a load of crap done to him. Stephanie slapped Orton, Vince wanted Orton to to beg for his job. When Orton refused he was about to fire him, Triple H broke into his home and assaulted him, HHH used a Sledgehammer at Wrestlemania and got away with it, he attacked Orton after he lost the 2/3 falls match. he attacked him from behind in the parking lot.
And all that is without mentioning Triple H starting it all by turning on Orton back in 2004. Or that over the years HHH has pretty much tortured Vince and had physically attacked Stephanie himself too. The feud itself was awful anyway but it still counts.

Kind of old school, but: -When Hogan yanked Sid over the rope that one Royal Rumble, after he (Hogan) was eliminated. "Accident" my ass. There's really no way around it.
-This isn't done so much now that the 'E is seriously trying to go global, but back in the 80s-90s, when we were supposed to assume people were heels just because they weren't from the US. Not even especially anti-American non-Americans, either- I mean guys like "heel" Hakushi, whose "heel" hook was being visibly not American.... BOOOO! How dare he come over and try to wrestle in the WORLD Wrestling Federation!

The Mega-Powers explode! We were suppose to boo Macho Man just because he attacked Hogan after abandoning him in a tag match, and he shoved Miss Elizabeth? Dude ... Hogan left Savage FIRST, and he was macking on Miss Elizabeth (who did nothing to turn away his advances, FYI.) I came here to say this one... I've always felt Savage was just in that feud. Hogan "lusted" after Liz from day one. He'd grab Liz before even giving Savage "congrats" (see SummerSlam 88). Hogan would cop a feel on Liz when he lifted her... Hogan was the Luster....

Mickie only wanted Trish for a girlfriend. Trish was just being homophobic. Thats one thing I never got about Mickie, she starts out being lesbian and then later on they imply she slept with Cena didn't they? I guess her preferences depend on her alignment? That's easy to explain. Mickie, being, in laymans terms, a whackjob, began to confuse her fandom for Trish with genuine romantic feelings. When Trish left (coincidentally around when Mickie turned face) she realised Trish was happy to be her friend, but nothing more than that. And so she got over it. In short, she was only gay for Trish. If that seems unrealistic, just ask the massive amount of otherwise straight men on this board who lust after John Morrison. Cryme Tyme selling Lita's panties and sex toys on the day of her retirement. They were HER sex toys damnit! They were not for sale! I dunno whay she brought them to the PPV anyway. Unless she really needed something to fill her...let's say downtime before her match.

Regarding the Mickie James love interests, there is a thing called being bisexual. X-Pert Contenduh-Cole Miner touched upon this on page three.

Chavo vs. Mysterio. Chavo turned on Rey because he was sick of seeing Rey milk the name of his dead uncle. And I'm supposed to hate Chavo why?

I'll echo a few mentioned here:
-Shawn vs. Jericho being the main one. Particularly what sparked it. I mean the shady guy faked an injury to win a match, then lied about it to everyone, then kicked the guy in the face who was right about it all along! And yet somehow the fans cheer that guy? Please. Shawn is my favorite wrestler of all time, but let's be real here. Dude was a tad under handed and didn't respond well to being called out for it. Someone was finally smart enough to call him on his stuff. Chris came back doing it all the right way and the fans just wouldn't accept him. That Jeri-Tron was meant for Shawn's face.
-Rey vs. Chavo. This one particularly got me a little heated. Why am I supposed to boo Chavo for FINALLY attacking some guy who was benefiting from the death of someone who wasn't even his family? Chavo was a true Guerrero. If anyone should have been honoring Eddie it was him. Wish Chavo could have beaten him down some more.
-Punk vs. Hardy. Do I even need to explain this one? It's funny, that new video from the Hardys came out this week and made this storyline even more laughable. Punk hasn't just won this one in a knock out. He picked Jeff's carcass back off the mat, and beat him around some more. Jeff is probably so strung out he doesn't realize yet, so no need to worry.

Even his feud with Shawn Micheals? I thought it was great, but Jericho was the clear heel during that storyline. Aside from Jericho punching Rebecca in the face and refusing to apologize, I felt Jericho was in the right for the majority of the feud. I thought that was the one point they missed in that feud -- it was completely Shawn's fault she got hit, something Jericho should have seized on. Shawn's a tough-guy professional wrestler, has been one for decades. He's been kicked, hit, bashed with chairs, thrown around cages, etc. So he's in the ring next to his wife and another wrestler challenges him -- goading him into a match instead of retiring. That guy (Jericho) takes a shot at him, and Shawn DUCKS so the wife he knows is right next to him gets hit. (Incidentally loved Shawn's wifebeater "She's used to it" admission, which Jericho also could have used if he had played up the incident.) So HBK comes off to me as a guy who won't even take one to save his wife, which should further Jericho's Shawn-has-turned-on-everyone-in-his-life theme. And Jericho was completely right -- Shawn's character has basically been cheered and revered for doing the same things heels get booed and hated for, down to super-kicking innocent (if annoying) little children and backstage people minding their own business. So I sympathized with Jericho from the very start as he exposed HBK's character for what he really always was.

In my opinion, that was the night Shawn began an eternal heel-turn. Super-kicking poor Stan was one of the most heinous, dastardly, and evil deeds in WWE history. The man was just minding his own business!

In a strange way, current Nexus.
Sure, they've done everything in their power to make the WWE a living hell for most people involved. But Cena, who has prided himself of being a man of honour for years now has twice broken a promise when things didn't go his way like a spoilt brat.
Has to join Nexus? He spends the first week beating up on Tarver and gets him kicked out of the group as a result. Being a part of Nexus he has to listen to everything Wade says? He puts his hands on Wade and consistantly screws his boss over at every point. He gets fired? He no sells it, attacking employed workers and somehow getting more TV time then people who are still hired.
The thing is, if I were to go to Raw next week and do the exact same thing as Cena, security would be on me before I could even touch Perfect Jr, let alone get my hands on Slater.

Kurt Angle during the Invasion. He saves the WWE by turning on Austin and the next night the Rock comes out and takes full credit. When Angle comes out to confront the Rock about who was more important The Rock is cheered and Angle is booed.
Stephanie McMahon when she turned on Vince and married HHH. I really can't blame her considering her father had her kidnapped by the Undertaker and as she put it "forced to entertain her father's business partners." No wonder she turned mega bitch.
Mike Adamle as Raw GM. The guy may have been boring but at least he did his job the best he did and what happens. The McMahon's stab him in the back.

In hindsight, people were real dicks to Nikolai Volkoff. Guy just wants to show pride in his native land and sing his national anthem and he has stuff thrown at him or blindsided by the babyfaces. Worst of all was Jim Duggan who hit him to show that the "US of A is the land of the free". Best way to show that?
Attack someone for expressing that freedom of course.

WWE: Where freedom means not being allowed to celebrate the culture of your native land. Because that is evil and wrong.
