Okay, there's Austin and Rock, but what about the over babyfaces in the attitude era who never get credit for being good in the roles.
Linda McMahon: They didn't go crazy for her, but she was greeted with polite applause, and was actually, a proven ratings draw mainly because whenever she showed up, you knew s*** was going down. Quite good for a woman with no mic skills.
Chyna: She got insane pops in her peak in 2000. Easy to forget how over she was.

Crash Holly, sure his 24/7 reign is fondly remembered but he doesn't seem to get enough praise for his character as a whole.

Both good choices. Linda got one of the biggest pops at Wrestlemania 27 when she stood out of the wheelchair while Vince had his back turned.
Sticking with the women, Lita and Sable. Around 1998/1999 Sable got some of the best reactions in the company. It was crazy how over she was. Same with Lita. During her first babyface push she was crazy over.
Not necessarily underrated babyfaces, but people certainly seem to have forgotten the extent to which they were over. Trish at her peak got no-where near the reactions Sable and Lita did at their peaks.

Linda is/was better as the higher-than-high authority face who shows up when crap truly hits the fan.

Face Al Snow.
My mother's favorite angle of all time is the Pepper angle. He was just so damn sympathetic.
And the super-hot ECW crowds became absolutely explosive in pop for his old entrance with 'Breathe' by The Prodigy.
In the Attitude era, Snow jumped miles ahead of his old lame WWF gimmicks like Leif Cassidy.

Which is why that random heel turn in 2005 didn't work at all. It was funny as hell, though. "Yooooooou'rrrrrrre FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRED!" *kick to the nuts*
