Its a terrible show with no redeeming characters and overly processed singing. But its addicting. Plus the sex is the least of what people should be upset about.

Well, to be fair, are there ANY current prime time shows that are appropriate for children/families? Of the shows i currently watch, only the middle and no ordinary family (and the simpsons, depending on the episode) would qualify. But as for stuff like Community, The Office, 30 Rock, etc, i dont think i'd let a kid watch those shows (not to mention that they probably wouldnt get most of the jokes anyway).

I've watched Glee a couple of times. Not a huge fan, but I didn't see anything I wouldn't let a tween watch.

I don't think Glee is terribly appropriate for about 8 and under. And I'd prefer to supervise a 9-11 year old's viewing, at least from the episode I saw where they did Push It and simulated sexual positions.

From what I have seen, Sex seems to be a regular theme of the show. So no, not until Jr. High. Gosh, it is pretty hard to find G Rated shows these days. And by G, I mean, General. As in, Something the whole family can watch without uncomfortable conversations.

As long as the kids agree for the programme to use their songs if they're asked to.

I love seeing everyone tip toe around the real issue with the show. But I'm not going to be the one to say what everyone is thinking because I like being on these boards. But what I will say is that I don't care for the show at all. The characters are stock, the way the show is shot is melodramatic, and the singing is so heavily processed that I'm pretty sure I have as much talent as the people on that show. And I am a lousy singer.

I must admit to liking Glee. It's guilty pleasure, but no more guilty than pro wrestling.
As far as content goes I wouldn't let a grade-schooler watch the show.

It's definitely not appropriate for small children. I'm not saying it should be taken off TV or whatever, but parents should know better than to let young children watch it, considering sexual themes seem to be a significant part of the show.

Yes.
Of course, that's because I don't think it's appropriate for anyone.

Haven't seen the show, don't intend to.
I heard one of the Christmas songs on the radio and it was AWFUL. I think it was "Last Christmas."

Opinions of the show's quality aside, they touch upon some topics that younger children shouldn't really be watching I guess. Teen pregnancy and the like. I believe one of the episodes has one of the cheerleaders take the wheelchair guys virginity so that he would be her duet partner and etc etc FOR KIDS!
So yeah, I see it more as "High School Musical for older teens/adults"
Though at least HSM used their own songs and didn't ruin everyone elses.

Glee is bad for everyone. Hunt it down and stop this monster. (btw, I have never seen Glee) I have seen it and I agree with this sentiment. Stop it! STOP IT BEFORE IT KILLS AGAIN! RUN KINGS OF LEON RUN!!!!

Well I grew up watching Friends when it first started, the first three series and it was fine. Glee in terms of content is no more controversial than that. On the other hand any publication or critic trying to stop ANYONE watching Glee gets a high five from me. It's not funny, it's not cute, it's not cutting edge. It's High School Musical PG-13. Yes I know people who watch it and have inflicted it upon me.
