My vote: Metallica. I'm surprised they haven't actually... they are still hugely popular, have fans of all age groups, and are used to playing stadiums. Seems like a perfect fit.

Foo Fighters are pretty much perfect for this. Inoffensive slightly mainstream Rock that will pump up a crowd, start a sing-a-long and provide the energy to keep the momentum of the experience going.

Lordi...they have alot of classic rock sounding songs that could pump up a crowd.
and for my own amusement...GWAR and Green Jello together would just be all levels of superbowl epicness
