Damn,I feel for those of you that hated HS.The only thing I remember hating was being caught with a porn VHS(that I was holding for a classmate that didn't have a backpack) my junior year, haha. That shit had spread like wildfire by lunchtime and people would bring it up until years later.Embarrassing, but nothing major.
...and let me join the "f*** MATH!" club. It's pretty much the reason I stopped doing college,ha.

None of it was really great, though there were some good times mixed into the last year and a half or so. I was dealing with depression and anxiety disorders that wouldn't actually be diagnosed until I was 19 and wouldn't begin to really feel under control until very recently (I'm 28.)
On top of that, though, the first 2 1/2 years were pretty rough. For the most part, I was either ignored completely or being singled out for various attacks, always by groups. The worst one actually involved me being set on fire.
It's actually a running joke with one of my friends that when one of us is having a bad day, the other will say, "At least it's better than high school."
The last year and a half wasn't bad, I went to a different school and people didn't bother me, out of what seemed to be a mixture of fear and thinking I was cool. Of course, I was still dealing the with the depression & anxiety, and wasn't really trusting these people who were being nice to me after getting f***ed with for so long. But, some of them are still my friends to this day, even if a greater number fell by the wayside as soon as I graduated. But, that's high school for you.

Crashing into a tree while learning to drive. I somehow managed to not get injured at all. That reminds me of not a bad moment, but one involving driver's ed anyways. This nerdy computer teacher was the one who would take us out driving and sometimes he would pick on us with funny little insults. Like one time when I backed up he said, "you just backed up like a drunk man." Then when I would be driving better later in the lesson he'd say, "we're sobering up now."

Hmm, finding out I wasn't gonna graduate less then 2 weeks before the end of the school year, and storming out in a cursing rage. I had an epic end to HS lol . Other then that.. nothing. I had my clique of friends, a garage band, and even though I was one of the long haired metal kids, actually got nominated for prom king, so I had it kinda easy. Maybe people are just less prickish to others in San Diego.

Freshman Year: I was on my way to the stadium and there was two guys behind. I decided to wear a skirt that day. As I'm walking to class, all of a sudden the wind blows my skirt completely up and scream so loud. The guys behind me started to scream as well.
Now for while at lunch, I would always order Nacho. At our school, there are 4 different lunch periods. I had the first one which means I had my binder and stuff with me. Anyways, after buying nachos, I go to sit down at the table where all my friends sat and sat next to a friend I had a major crush on. I put my nachos on top my binder and then start talking to everyone. As I'm talking, the nachos slide down off my binder into my lap. I was in totally shock. Now the guy next to me stated afterwards that he watch the nachos start to fall and tried to say something, but didn't. I got tease and then my nachos got deem 'crotchos'. I gave them to another friend who kept asking for them.
In french with the same guy from earlier, our teacher had us demostrate how people greeted each other in french depending on your relationship to that person. So I ended up volunteering and I was waiting to see who would I do this with. When my teacher asked for a boy, my friend ended up getting saying I'll do it with the cheesiest smile on his face. To this day I'm lucky no one can tell when I'm blushing. Our teacher goes on and tell us to greet like mother and son. I forgot what she told me to say, but has some funny nickname in. I was cool until she told us that I had to kiss him on the cheek. I was so nervous. We ended up doing it, but I didn't kiss him on the cheek. I did an air kiss instead. After class, I told him to never mention what happen in class and he asked me why and I told because I didn't want people to know.
Another time in french class, the class was broken up into groups to do some presentation and my group was last to go and the bell was about to ring. I'm stand up in front of the class waiting for everyone to be quiet and other telling me to go. I kept saying I'm waiting for everyone to be quiet. Then I started to get mad and yell out 'You guys are all so f***ing rude!' and everyone shut up. I remember looking from the corner of my eye and see my friend with a shocked look on his face then trying not to laugh. After class my teacher pulled me aside and talk to me about it. I was lucky not to get a referral .
Sophmore Year: At lunch, a close friend of mind got mad at me and started to resurface a deadly rumor about me that piss me off. I just so happen to be his birthday and his was eating spaghetti and once again dude from above was watching all of this. I kept my friend to shut up about the damn rumor and I got too mad and threw his spaghetti everywhere and getting some on my other friend. He asked my about the rumor and I told him I didn't want to discuss it.
Junior Year: Nothing bad about this year. More fun in french class. God I love that year of french class. Math class was just as fun, had some crazy stalker girl in our class that was a senior and weird.
Senior year: Nothing bad about this year either, except almost not graduating and having my dad come all the way from Chicago and seeing him for the first time in 16 years to see his daughter not graduate.
(Note how my most embarassing moments were in my freshman year)

Every single day I went there. This is my answer for middle school and high school, sad but true. Add hand me downs and clueless adults to the mix and you have my middle school and high school years. How do you all feel about having chance meetings with high school jerks?

I guess the day I farted in class when I was a freshman...I didn't live that down for a while. To the point where I basically act as if it never happened, denial. We all got a good laugh out of it though.
Really, High School wasn't that bad now that I remember it. Besides a few times I was made fun of, I've got pretty thick skin, it got to where people could say anything and I'd just laugh it off. I was such a quiet and nice guy who could burn you as much as you burned me, that's how I got accepted and made friends. Hell I was a happy dude Sophmore and Junior year, Senior year I was some how one of the popular kids. Really just live in learn.

My first year of high school was beyond awful. I could say more, but I'll leave it at that. I don't want to end up too depressed today.
My second year and rest of my high school years were spent in another school and compared to the first I was in paradise. There were some awful moments, but it was mostly usual run of the mill high school bullshit.

severe severe acne, being overweight, being undesirable by every girl in the school. Only reason people talked to me is because I was the class clown and entertained them. I had a few friends like Jason/Deadpool at least who knew there was more to me than a class clown.

This is small beans compared to some of the other things mentioned here, but the night before 10th grade picture I got literally the biggest zit ever. I am not exaggerating that it covered half my forehead, I guess it had gotten infected or something, as I had been trying to pop it and cover it up to no avail. I tried to brush my bangs forward to cover it up, but it still didn't cover it, so I had to raise my eyebrows so that it couldn't be seen in the photo. It is literally the most awkward picture ever, not only that I was heavier than I'd ever been, and I got ripped apart the next couple of years anytime someone would see that picture.
It's funny because over 10 years later, it doesn't seem like that big of a deal anymore. But at the time it was the end of the world.

How do you all feel about having chance meetings with high school jerks? For me unlikely since I'm several states away from most of them. Been lucky and not run into any of them during my visits back to Kentucky. But I'm also not the same person I was then, so I'd probably end up being the jerk.

Maybe people are just less prickish to others in San Diego. Speaking as a fellow So Cal native, I'd agree with you. I'm about an hour outside of Los Angeles, but I hear from people south of me (my roommate is from San Diego) and north of me (cousins from the bay area) that it's better where they are haha My high school experience was fairly positive. My sophomore year however, due to problems at school, at home, and with my social life, was far and away the worst year of my life (this year seems to be making a run for the title though). I was painfully depressed throughout, plus I had been diagnosed with OCD right at the end of freshman year and my prescription kept changing. The toll it took on my mind was harsh. But like I said, the rest was really good. Seriously

I generally enjoyed school. I was lucky really, my year in school had pretty much a zero problem with bullying (bar a few girl on girl bullying incidents, one of which made the news) but with the guys everyone got along.
You had like geeky kids & goths been best mates with members of the footy team and stuff. It was kinda odd looking back, especially when I read about how crummy some schools were. There were a few dickheads but they generally kept to themselves smoking and doing drugs at the bottom of the playing field and didn't bother anyone.
Worst moment for me though was in 6th form when I got expelled. It sorta led to a big downward spiral of been in various stages of crummy jobs that I hated (call centre) unemployment, heavy drinking and depression which lasted for years.

The only way I would consider going back to high school for one day would be for a million dollars. If I had that chance I would walk in class tell the teacher off and get sent to the office, on my way to the office I would pull a fire alarm. Once I got in the office I would stay there the rest of the day and collect my million dollars.
Where to begin with high school
Freshman year I would say was probably the worst on me. Very early on we went on an overnight trip to a camp. We were acting a fool and as a joke someone said something about having Fritos. Of course I got in on it and jokingly said I got a chalupa. For the rest of my high school time I was known as Chalupa to the point that some people that was all they knew me by. At first I hated it but as time went on I got a good laugh out of it. I once made a comment on Facebook and someone I went to high school with and was a good friends with jokingly came back with "Chalupa" and I made the comment "Don't go there"
The darkest moment my freshman year though was the day they called the entire Freshman class to the cafeteria. Most people thought we that we were in trouble. As it turned out the dad of someone in our class had commited a murder-suicide with the guys mom. There were rumors going around on TV that the guy in our class had also been killed but we were told that the guy was okay. The guy was one of those who were always problems but after that happened he never was really the same.
Sophomore year was somewhat better on me save for the problems I had with a few people. One guy was nothing but evil. When I say evil I am talking about someone who once hurt a cat for fun and then bragged about it. He did not come back for the junior year and it was a case of good riddance. Several other people I know felt this way as well. Also several of the people he was with who were giving me problems became my friend junior year. I have no clue what happened to the guy but I would be willing to bet he has been in jail a time or two since high school.
My junior year was even better. Most of the crap I got was from those who were freshmen that year. Thankfully out of the 8 classes I had that year, there were only three classes that I had with freshmen. Of those three one was Art which a lot of freshmen took, the other two classes were those that they usually did not put freshmen in.

My high school wasn't bad at all,I had some pretty embarrassing things in marching band, like failing on a jump over a chair, and one time where someone convinced me that their waterbottle was in the road and asked if I could go get it,I picked it up,and....it was a douche.
I was very popular in high school, which is odd because I never tried,I made lots of jokes and tried my best to be a nice guy,but that's just how I am.

I know I had specific terrible memories but I've mostly blocked them all out. Defense mechanism go!
High school was a disaster for me. I wasn't being properly treated for my OCD until I got to college and wasn't even DIAGNOSED with Tourrette's until college. This was on top of trying to convince myself I wasn't transgender, while trying to convince everybody else around me that I was straight.
My freshman year was absolutely wretched. I had an abusive boyfriend which resulted in panic attacks every single day. I was about 20 pounds underweight, borderline anorexic and even when I wanted to eat I couldn't because my stress levels were completely f***ing with me physically. At one point, I mistakenly stopped taking my Paxil for about a week - Paxil withdrawal can kill you. It was absolutely brutal, I couldn't walk I was so sick and I missed like two weeks of school while I recovered from that and got back on track with the medicine (which I shouldn't have been on in the first place). I was in the nurse's office almost every day in tears. I had to get a note from the principal telling all my teachers that I was allowed to leave class at any time because of the panic attacks, and that I was allowed to eat in all classes.
After my freshman year things got better. It was never perfect or anything but it was better than THAT, at least.
