I voted for the Cena getting fired option, but then I saw the Darren Young thing, and I wish I had the option to retract my vote. The second they started VOLUNTARILY pruning down their numbers advantage, they started looking like idiots.

The idea of The Nexus was never sustainable for long anyway. It ran about as long as it should have.

The second they started VOLUNTARILY pruning down their numbers advantage, they started looking like idiots. Yeah, that certainly wasn't helping the cause. I understand the injured guys being written out, but taking out guys for getting beat by Cena? They have ALL gotten beat by Cena, a lot...

I voted "other." Nexus when it started attacked any and everybody, promising some sort of "bigger picture."
then it became all about Cena........
So my vote is for when Nexus lost its focus and became all about Cena

The Cena is Fired angle is honestly one of the worst things the WWE has ever done. I know that might sound like hyperbole but to take the single best storyline they had produced in years and completely mess it up in just 3 weeks takes some beating.

It was the biggest storyline of the year for sure..(not sure if thats saying much since WWE has been lackluster with storylines for years but anyways).. The problem is the Nexus still conssited of horrible green guys. Other then Barrett, the talent was subpar at best. It wasn't like the NWO who already had established stars, and could work the mic and work in the ring. You can't aspect a stable full of relative rookies to continue going on for months and years on end when really they DIDNT HAVE MUCH TALENT to begin with other then Barrett.
It died.. Fine.. Move on. You can't just elevate guys who aren't ready for the main event into the main event. It takes year to really bring guys along. Not a few months. Superstars are slowly cultivated and grown. Not pushed to the top their first 5 months to a year in the business. It took years to bring the Rock along. Years to bring hogan along, years to bring Austin along,. Years to bring Triple H, Shawn, Bret, Cena etc.

When Dragon was fired. When it started, the group had one guy who could wrestle and one guy who could talk. And by the end of the first week, they just had the guy who could talk.
And that's not just my opinion, because I read at the time they were looking to Dragon to do all the work

The Nexus angle can be saved if they actually had Cena jump a shark.
Barrett: "Cener put on the skis and leather jacket."
Cena: "For what?"
Barrett: "We're gonna have you jump a shark."
Cena: "That's dangerous."
Barrett: "Don't worry. Otunga is driving the speedboat."
*Otunga gives a thumbs up
Barrett: "Plus we already tested it with Darren Young since the two of you look similar."
Cena: "Where is Darren?"
Barrett: "Oh he died. Yeah, but look at the bright side we know what not to do. Like go faster next time Otunga!"
*Otunga nods*
Cena: "Nah man. It's too dangerous."
Barrett: "DO IT OR YER FIRED!"
*Cena scared face*

You know what's ironic about all of this? People had a fit because Cena was busting into the shows and attacking Nexus and there was no security to stop him and he didn't have a job. Isn't that literally the exact same way Nexus debuted on Raw? The only one of them with a contract was Barrett, yet they all showed up through the crowd to attack people and had no resistance from security. They showed up on Raw for weeks after Bret Hart wouldn't give them a contract and fired Barrett from his. They did the same stuff Cena was doing, except people hate it because it's Cena doing it.
Admittedly the Nexus stuff was awesome during the first few months, but we have such a double standard when it comes to the people we don't like.

After their loss at SummerSlam Nexus bascially lost the whole unity schtick that had made them so dominant. After that the stable basically became 'Wade Barrett and co.'

When they took seven boring, generic jabronis in trunks from the FCW clone factory and pushed them as this nWo-like super heel faction. God, that was so stupid. Agreed.

That odoesnt mean that they are generic..they have their own style David Otunga is a "Starcream"on NXT he was wannabe Movie Star with a famous wife.Darren Young..just look at the guy, besides the hair he has a attitude,Heath Slater has a good look too, that sets him apart from most...and he has the hair shaking dance... I'm not saying they do alot ,or are better than much, but they arent generic, they dont act or look or have the same attitude that fits generic

Hey guys, I just checked my "Wrestling Psychology 101" book and it said that not only do wrestling angles frequently disregard close logical scrutiny, but apparently heels frequently can't win if they don't cheat somehow, and after a period of the heels winning, the face... wait, let me doublecheck...
... yeah, says right here on page 4: "The babyface will be given a decisive victory over the heel or heels as revenge for the punishment they were earlier forced to endure."
You guys... I don't know if anybody else noticed this, but I think that this wrestling angle has been booked like a... brace yourself... wrestling angle! A pretty long wrestling angle by recent WWE standards.
But to save face, I'll go ahead and give my IWC answer: "This angle jumped the shark when Bryan got fired because Cena sux. Rey Mysterio sux too."
