Gotta love the depth of the Smackdown roster now!
Anyway, I think it's a shame, I liked his work and felt that he was the kind of colorful midcarder that WWE needs more of.

I don't really get how people can say that they're disappointed in the WWE for this, should they have refused to let him go when he asked?
Should they stand outside the window of his room with a boom box over their heads playing his theme music?

After the Matt Hardy feud, I had a hard time caring about him tbh. Didnt like the Ballin Elbow, he just seemed to be, well... there.

I never thought MVP would get released before his rookie, Percy Watson.

It's probably best for both parties. MVP was just wasting away.

Maybe the reason he wanted his release was that he was disillusioned after they kept cutting his legs out from under him. Ever think of that?

Really thought he was going to be a big deal for a while there. Then he went to Raw when it was at its most midcard Hellish and that was that.

I think since he was older than the average guy, the WWE was reluctant to push him in the top spot. Not sure why. He had the charisma, mic skills, and was over with the crowd enough to be world champ.
I think he got frustrated and it showed in his interviews and tweets. You gotta represent your company well. It was meant to happen. Shame he wasnt better utilized. Real talent and a unique personality. He could have been the face to topple Orton in his heel reign.

I really dont get why people seem to ignore that part I think they just read "MVP released" and assume he was fired. I think he wanted to do something notable in his career again and decided the money wasn't worth it anymore. I mean, if you're financially secure there's really no reason to put up with the hectic schedule if you're just going to lose all the time and never be given a storyline. I think he'll have a short run in Japan, maybe TNA or ROH (not sure how well he'd fair there though) and end up with another run in the 'E later but he'll be a much better performer by then.

He wanted to be released, to do other things. Like I said MVP Is 37, 10 years of that wasted in jail, he should go and do as much as possible. MVP is 37? Hot damn I thought he was in his late 20's And therein lies the problem: Vince gets on a youth kick, and the guy who actually isn't young gets left in the dust. I knew the writing was on the wall at last year's Bragging Rghts, when they needed 14 people for the match that was the selling point of the PPV, and he wasn't one of them
