Oh well.
A year ago I would've been fairly up in arms, but now...no, not really. He didn't get the best of pushes, but still had a good career in WWE with several highlights.
Glad he's split on his own terms. It's not like they shoved him out.

Suffered cause he never ever had a decent finisher. True, a cool finisher is essential for getting over and needs to represent the essence of a character. A great finish like the Rock Bottom of Stunner can just put a massve cap on a wrestler's persona. Evan Bourne is only over for the SSP and Randy has made a whole career from the coolness of the RKO, particularly his recent face run. Imagine if he had kept using the overdrive. Even the Rock or Hogan couldn't get that piece of s*** move over. It's like Wade Barrett at the moment; I feel he's limited by his crappy finisher. As for the release this is a massive waste on WWE's part. He's got a great gimmick and is over, he just needed a sustained push. I normally don't care when someone is fired because most of the time they suck, but this is definately a significant loss.

Not exactly surprising, but I'll miss him. Very talented guy, and seemed to be way over.
SmackDown needs some new faces, it seems.

As a babyface, the guy was dead weight. Should have turned him heel, WWE... He always seemed to get decent reactions to me. It seemed to be the only time ever that somebody actually got over via a losing streak angle, as much as I hated seeing him job to Kizarny and Kung Fu Naki.

And the desecration of the Smackdown undercard continues. In the space of 2 weeks, half of the SD undercard has been released, and the other half are stuck on Superstars doing nothing. Its amazing to think that last year Raw was seen as the show with a stale main event, whilst Smackdown was the show for young, up and coming talent to shine (e.g. Punk, J.Hardy, Morrison). Now its a complete 180. Every main eventer on Smackdown is over 35 years old and within 2-3 years of retirement, and the likes of Kingston, Ziggler, McIntyre and Swagger are stuck in midcard hell, going no-where.
Ziggler's reign as IC Champion has done nothing for him, he's not even had a wiff of the main event. Kaval went on a losing streak after winning NXT for no apparent reason, even though he was a fan favourite, and they wasted away his title shot in a throw-away match at Survivor Series. Kingston and Swagger have been trading wins for the past 2-3 months, and has done nothing for either man. Either push Kingston, or push Swagger, stop being so indecisive and have them trade wins for months with no purpose other than to 'give them something to do'.
What was he point of having MVP beat Drew McIntyre a few weeks ago on Smackdown, if the very next week Drew beat MVP in a match? The only midcarder on Smackdown who seems to be going anywhere is Alberto Del Rio, and even then he'll probably job out to Mysterio at TLC.

Damn, WWE really dropped the ball with him. MVP could've made a good heel world champion. The question is, how many wrestlers are there left on SD?

Can't blame him for wanting out - he went from ballin' to jobbin' to "sorry, we got nothin'." It doesn't matter how over you are if Vince and (not very) creative aren't willing to push you.
He'll be just fine as long as he doesn't do a Hardy and start posting bats***-crazy videos on YouTube.

Shame, but I won't miss his ridiculously long winded ballon elbow in SvR 2011.

Best for everyone involved.
I looked at the list of SmackDown superstars listed to come to my hometown next month and showed my son. He would point at each name and not mention the names, but give his opinion on each. (He'd say, "Good. Boring. Boring. Good. He's good. Laycool's annoying", etc.
When a 9-year old can point at your name (MVP) and say, "Never wins", you're not as over as you think. (When he does win, it's pretty forgettable as he loses 4 times to make up for that.)
I wish him all the best and yadda yadda yadda, but I won't miss him in the least.

It's like Wade Barrett at the moment; I feel he's limited by his crappy finisher. I'm torn on the Wasteland...it looks cool sometimes, but then other times it seems more like a Super Crazy set-up move. Wasteland -----> some sort of submission would be great. Play up his "barenuckle boxing" background and have him do the Wasteland ---> AKI Man's strong punches.

They just had him in a feud with Ziggler for the IC title, and even though he lost, I had hope they may try again with that soon. Ultimately, though, it was a mistake to turn him face. He was getting good reactions from fans, but everything they loved about the character in the first place was thrown out the window.
