I just can't get over how the Knockouts division in one year went from practically being the potential flagship division of TNA with incredible talent like Gail Kim and Awesome Kong into being a bigger joke than the WWE Divas division.

They just add some potentially helpful new people and now decide to cancel that out by letting people go too? Hopefully, this is a false alarm report.
If not, it seems like a trend of releasing or passing on women ring workers who aren't geared toward promo cutting.

yes, so they will keep the KO tag belt when there is only 7 active KO wrestlers now, all former WWE wrestlers (Katie Lea, Tara, Victoria) or TBP (madison, vel, love). except for Sarita, pretty smart, just let hamada and Wilde keep the damn belt.
Wasnt KO suppose to be "not Divas"? Well, look whats left, TBP, who look like divas, to three former Divas!!!
Hopefully WWE is smart and realize Taylor was once TNa's reigning KO champ, and can pull off great moves, and can benefit the WWE Diva division.

^^ I want to see that "We're Not Divas" promo just for laughs now, knowing they released the knockouts in favor for former divas.
"We're Not Divas!" Sure...

They'd probably have jobs if they are / were divas as those women seem to take over the division.

Wow. Remember when the Knockouts Division was like the best thing in TNA? It sucks because there was an interview with Taylor and she sounded like her stint in WWE was miserable. But I still would love to see them sign her.

so the only KO now with ANY great move set is Sarita and Kaite, if they let her wrestle?

Though, let me say this right now: Stop acting like all the good knockouts who can wrestle are gone, and all that are left are s***. ...but it's true.

Of the 7 knockouts people bring up now, 6 have previous wrestling experience, experience from years in the ring. People here act like it's full of Laceys and Morascas, and it couldn't be further from the truth, with all the diva talk (and again hypocritically with the same people talking about wanting her in WWE) It's not only overly dramatic, it's also downright insulting.

This is one of those few instances where I (mostly) agree with Mikey. It's still eight deep in viable or better performers. (Counting the supposedly injured Daffney.) I do feel Hamada and (if she goes) Taylor are significant and unwise losses. And do agree with Hamada's top spot ring skill rating.
But having watched a one minute-ish snoozefest between Layla and Rosa last Smackdown as the latest chapter there, (I missed Raw Monday) I don't see the Knockouts division being below the recent Divas division by any stretch. You might have been able to make that case when Lacey was so featured. But not over the last little while.
They should think about adding someone like Jennifer Blake though and rehiring a Kong here or a Rain there. And no more cuts to worthwhile Knockouts.

Convince me that Velvet can out wrestle Hamada or Taylor? Love maybe, but not Vel, nor Madison. Only others that can put on a great show with Hamada are Taylor, and Sarita, and probably Katie Lea. Thats what I assume most of us are talking about.

Sure, all of the Knockouts at the moment konw how to wrestle but Katie Lea is the only one that is even comparable to Sarita or Taylor. Hamada is pretty much untouchable ringwise compared to nearly anyone else on the TNA roster.

IMO not a huge loss, I don't think she's all that great in the ring. One of the best KOs in the ring was Hamada though no doubt.

What's with all the Sunglass Hut jokes? Did Taylor realy work there? Without specifically relooking the article, I believe it was along the lines of her being recognized by a fan there and quiting. But she was indeed working at such an establishment while also under hire by TNA. Here's an interview clip I found : (From a little while back) I only stopped working crapping day jobs about a month ago, and they all had varying degrees of being pooptastic. But a single incident at my last part-time job enables it to win the award for being the worst. I was working at Sunglass Hut at a mall in Mississauga, a job that could be maintained by a monkey, so standing around for six hours earning minimum wage wasn’t the issue. But after serving this one customer for an extended period of time he ever so politely uttered, “Aren’t you the TNA Woman’s Knockout Champion?” I handed in my resignation that day. I‘m not that broke. There is nothing cool about trying to obtain some form of superstar status while simultaneously slaving to help people find a new pair of Gucci sunglasses.

Am I supposed to be surprised by that release (if confirmed) ?
I mean, basically, Taylor spends half of her time in England with her fiancee, she can't cut a promo to save her life (her last Xplosion promo was cringe-inducing), never really got over when she was champ, and her tag partner has just been released (and as much as i like Hamada's work, she wasn't a great fit in a televised/promos-and-interaction-with-the-crowd-are-necessary environment).
Won't really miss her that much. Especially if TNA brings in more new blood along the lines of Winter and Von Eerie.
