I love this angle. Everyone in TNA should just refuse to acknowledge Hardy as champion and declare Eric's belt the top belt. If they went this way, I'd mark. I no longer recognize Hardy as world champ. Eric Young is MY champ! Haha exactly. Then Hardy can cut promos crying about how no one wants to wrestle him for his belt.

Its a real grass roots movement I saw EY wearing the belt drinking a 40 outside a liquor store.

Been a good time to be EY, I think. He's World Champion with a successful first title defense, he's a backup singer, he's dating Mickie James, and he's got Kendrick as an advisor. He just needs to get rid of that pre-op transsexual who keeps hanging around, and he'll be golden.

I wonder if they'll have to blur out the belt of the real world's champion... He has to find one of Flair's old robes in the trash and start calling OJ "Perfect."

This is like Hacksaw Jim Duggan finding the WCW World TV Title that was thrown in the trash by Scott Hall and claiming himself champion.

I can accept this more than I can accept Jeff Hardy. How sad is that?

Add another one on the WCW Checklist: Lovable oaf finding belt in trash, declaring himself the new champion. Only thing left is a Piñata on a Pole Match.

I'm indifferent to EY, mostly, but I respect his gumption. Eh, it could be funny.

EY can wrestle a decent to great match. EY has a connection with fans (whether you or I personally like him is irrelevant, he can get a response and a good one at that). EY KNOWS he has a connection with fans and also understands how to make this work for him. Hell, pairing him with Orlando Jordan hasn't killed him, it's actually slowly started to get Jordan a positive fan response. As long as they don't turn Jordan or Eric any time soon, I can actually see OJ becoming someone the fans get behind at some point it 2011.
And that is because of the rub he gets off being associated with EY. Think about that last sentence. Then roll your eyes, say "damn you, TNA creative" and move on.

Young turns crap that would kill most wrestlers careers in a heartbeat into something entertaining that gets a positive fan response. He isn't just funny either he can get the fans behind something serious too as seen by his run with World Elite. I don't know why TNA just dropped Eric Young off the face of the Earth when his run with the "Band" failed (The failure having nothing to do with him). Its almost like they set him up for failure and yet somehow he still has success then they further try to bury him. I really wish TNA would either realize what they had or WWE would just pick him up and utilize him. The guy is a trooper who deserves better.

To think this time last year he was the leader of WE and could/should have been world champion.

I so want him to challenge Hardy to a title match on the basis Jeff's going around claiming to be champion when he so clearly isn't. Hopefully with the end result being a ton of run-ins on both sides (not hard for TNA) leading to Young taking the butterfly belt to match his current one.

I hope it ends up being like ISW when Stinky found the old ISW title in the trash, the new one remained the ISW Championship while Stinky's title became the "Other Championship"
