In his latest book. Interesting considering the latest Jeff Hardy claims...

What a douche.
This is totally without context. How does he bring it up? Does he claim TNA knew?

I'm inclined to believe him.
Of course, I'm also inclined to believe he was probably high before some matches in WWE, as well.

Yeah this sounds like someone who has either a big drug problem, no respect for their coworkers, or both.
Why did he leave/get released from TNA? Anything to do with them finding out?

Does it make me a bad person if I admit the notion of Dustin Rhodes entering a UFC ring decked out in Goldust attire and getting slaughtered by Brock Lesnar sounds kinda awesome?

Honestly - I'm not an advocate of drugs. At all.
But, of course wrestlers are on drugs.
They're celebrities (of sorts).
I think if TNA or WWE had scruples they'd let people go if they can't stay clean.

Wrestlers have all the baggage of being both celebrity and athlete so its not a stretch of the imagination to believe that both companies have their share of backstage drug use that management turns their head at.

He had a huge issue with drugs, and he comes off pretty hard on himself because of it. It's not a case where a wrestler brags about being messed up, Goldust just talks about what a dark place he was in back then.

The bookers in TNA are clearly high too. So what's the news?

Well I suppose his regret is good, but to me there is a line between a dark place with self destructive tendencies and wrestling impaired which just shows such utter uncaring about your coworkers. I am just glad he didn't end someone's career or worse.

I am just glad he didn't end someone's career or worse. Not to defend someone for allowing personal demons to control his life... But that's kinda why they call it an addiction. Your body craves something to the point you may honestly think you can't live or operate without it. You may even convince yourself you can't work without it, and, given the pounding your body takes in the ring, I can almost understand a guy thinking he needs something to take the edge off. Again, I'm not saying it's ok, just that I hesitate to call him "uncaring" or to demonize him over it.

I would guess that WWE stars probably do more drugs because of their schedule..

True I don't wish to demonize addicts, I have a history of experience with them. When you let your addiction take precedent over the very lives of your associates then I think you are uncaring even if the addiction is to blame. Same with Jeff Hardy if rumors are true.
Let's just hope he is and continues to do better. I would just be scared to trust him again as a promoter.

I am just glad he didn't end someone's career or worse. He does say something to the extent of how he difficult it was for him to just not hurt himself or his opponent, when he went out there being all drugged up. The good thing about his book is that he doesn't really try to justify his behavior. He mentions how he was a bitter mess back then, and how hard it was to be around him. The guy at one point was practically living in a one room apartment. It's remarkable how he's turned his life around and fought his demons.
