2 fans asked me how much a wrestler makes over at TNA today, when I told them the "average mid carder"is makin less than 500 a match...no hotels .....they couldn't believe it.. That's before taxes and expenses and paying your own health insurance.... They were like holy****, we better stay in school.. I said "good idea."
That's not a knock on the boys....I respect their passion....the wrestling companies take advantage of their passion! Any company outside of wrestling would love to have workers with the desire work ethic and passion of a wrestler.. The ones that do ....care about their employees and give them benefits etc..bonuses too

Don't think he was. But from what I understand the figures are spot on.

Wait when was Palumbo ever in TNA? Might have friends who work there. Or big time clients. I heard he made more money building choppers when he was working in the WWE then working for the WWE.

For the record, as of this summer, AJ Styles was on record as charging $1000 for a match on the indies (with expenses though.)
In TNA he probably makes less ($600-$800 in 2007 was the figured I heard thrown around for him and Joe, but that was a few years ago, so maybe it's changed.)
Yes: that means there's a very good chance Christy Hemme makes more than AJ Styles.

Why do people bring up FCW wages to justify TNA's low pay?
FCW guys aren't on a tv show that makes millions of dollars a year. It's not the same thing.

That isn't snark. I'm curious to see how much profit Impact actually makes for TNA, Spike and/or their corporate masters.

Per Randy Ricci, and some others, they get $150,000 per show from Spike. Around $8-$10 million a year. Factoring in reaction, probably a bit more.

Doesn't seem like he is trash them, hell, JR says the same thing on his blog all the time. Also, that is about what WWE pays FCW guys according to Colt so it's not like TNA is alone in that. Most of a WWE midcard wrestler's pay comes from royalties from the video games, PPVs, t-shirts and other things like that. If someone is injured (take Ezekiel Jackson with his quad tear recently) they most likely aren't making more than $1,500 to $2000 a week unless they are upper mid-card. Divas by most account don't make jack since WWE went PG and stopped doing bikini videos and magazines. No, but WWE has been known to take care of people's health bills. TNA doesn't.............

No, but WWE has been known to take care of people's health bills. TNA doesn't............. I have yet to hear a story of someone getting injured at a TNA event and not getting their bills paid. The only time I recall hearing about someone getting injured and TNA not covering it, was with Konnan and all his issues were pre-TNA. Amazing Red had to leave for a while because TNA wouldnt pay for his health problems and he needed to pay for those.

Dave Meltzer also claimed on his message board that many guys in TNA refuse to go to the hospital or get themselves checked out because they can't afford it. So, the names mentioned are just the ones known about.

Think about this. Hernandez rather work 6-8 shows a week in a country with a drug war going on and in buildings that have jack for facilities than work for TNA. I think that's a pretty damning indication of how bad TNA comes to treating wrestlers.
"Go jump off cages, takes bumps on ladders, fight in parking lots and do that tope to the floor, but if you get injured, we'll garnish your wages to cover the bill."
