At least they care. Again, I'd rather have a crowd full of hardcore marks passionately into what I was trying to do, than an arena full of apathetic slobs that can't muster up a cheer or a boo one way or another for someone. Of course, I'm looking at it purely from a booking/entertainment factor, than a 'zomg more asses in seats, we need to sell more Chain Gang T-shirts' factor. I like how you managed to take a cheap shot at "WWE" fans as "slobs". I forgot about the bunch of beauty contest and Mr Universe winners that are "ECW" fans. And I agree with you about how its great they were into everything.,but some of the chants were just stupid. That was my point I didn't mean it in a physical sense, and if any WWE fans took it as such I do apoligize, but I think my point still stands. You didn't see anyone getting any "Conway Heat" tonight. I mean...I'd rather have a group of people that will either love the wrestlers or hate them, than a crowd of people that just stare at someone and go "Huh?" Sorry. I mean...you spent your money on a ticket, why shouldn't you yell or scream, show your love or hatred for those in the ring? I mean, "YOU SUCK DICKS" might not be the classiest crowd in the world, but it's not like the WWE has the monopoly on 'class' itself.

I thought cena sucked terribly tonight. he didnt do anything different except when he went off the top to the outside and that looked like crap. Rvd's frog splash was the best I have seen him do for a while. Also Randy orton was hillarious. when he gave the smile and a wave to all the fans while getting helped out by his two refferes.also fbi vs tajiri and super crazy was a great match.

Again, I totally agree with you about dead crowds. They suck. My point was, (my opinion anyway) that the fans could/should have picked their spots better. Dont chant for the sake of chanting. The "booooring" chants were fine, but "you suck dick" and "youre a pussy" chants were a bit silly.

Cena has always been a good heel.
They need to make him a heel full-time.

I'm not a cena fan but he played to the crowd great tonight...ie he just came out there and just did his thing. He was a damn good heel tonight.
I fell out of my chair laughing at the "Same Old Shit" chant.

Orton got what he deserved tonight. Don't try to protect that overrated little piece of garbage. Cena? It's funny to boo him and all and to see the reaction of NY fans to the guy but it's really Vince who they should be booing when it comes to all things Cena.

Orton for his high profile attitude problems, got a bit of comeuppance tonight. (though I kinda thought it got a bit annoying after a while) As someone who doesnt like him, I do have to give the man credit. He played off the crowd and did the heel role great, and he did very well in the ring.

I thought Cena intially let the crowd get to him.... after the first "Same Old.." chant, when he climbed to the top rope and dropped down with an ax-handle... it seemed more like a way to "get back" at the fans than anything else. He landed horribly, he looked unsure of the move as soon as he did it, and he's very lucky he didn't Sid himself.
Aside from that, he seemed to feel more and more comfortable with playing the heel later in the match, and improved greatly from there.
As I've always said... Face Cena = Bad. Heel Cena = Good.

You know deep down, The ecw fan wants to say that chant after seeing his crappy wwe work.
Why didn't RVD have Alfonso with him?

Dammit, I'm going to hate myself for this but I completely agree with magneto about the Cena thing. Cena has done what he can with the terrible booking he's been given. As for tonight, Cena was fantastic as the heel. He played to the crowd perfectly, and the ECW crowd playing back was lots of fun too. I thought that match was fantastic because of the interplay between Cena and the crowd, more so than the actual wrestling (and I'm an RVD fan). I have a lot of respect for Cena after this match too. He did what he had to, and he didn't get killed. That's a pretty successful night.

The sad thing is.. immediately after he turns full heel, people will like him again. watch. For the record, I like him either way, but not in a thugwarrior4cena-esque way. Semper Fi, Erik Majorwitz

John Cena really deserves props for his performance tonight. Cena can go. They just need to put him in a different direction.

I've never thought one dandy thing about Cena's on screen character, and probably never will. The guy when doing some high impact move, i.e., the spash/elbow...whatever he was trying to do off the top rope to Van Dam was like he was in slow motion. And every single time he does something like that, he's always to slow. It seems he's to worried about being safe then making the move look believable. Not a bad thing, but not good either. Maybe he's like Steve Corino and he's really fat and it's hard to tell, I don't know.
The fans made Cena look better then he has ever had before, and made him seem special with all the hate. I know Cena will never be Dean Malenko, heck, he'll never be Randy Orton, but if he's bringing people to the arena's (kids, but their still people...I guess), I say, keep the belt on him forever. Or until Trips wants it back.

I also think it's ironic that Cena mentioned the legacy of the WWE belt last week even though he's defiled it by making it a spinner abomination.

Yes, I did my research before posting, and kids are indeed people. I was shocked as well. Spinner belts gives lame horse-face white boys street cred.
