Okay, what about people you knew weren't going to make it, but the company insisted otherwise?

I remember thinking stunning steve austin should be allowed to go solo and spread his wings from the dangerous alliance. Not that I could ever have predicted!

When Edge and Christian split up, I remember instantly thinking that Edge was gonna be the more successful one.
I thought Carlito would make it after the push he got the first few weeks of his run (he got the US title in his first WWE match!). Unfortunately not, eh?

Batista. Since early 2004, I saw him becoming the next big thing, and goddamn I was right.

Chris Jericho. I knew from the moment he turned heel in WCW that he would end up big. I'm with ya, brother. Jerichoholic 4 Life! Count me in too! I had a relative who followed ECW and made a few tapes, and I first saw him in the classic TV Title four-way in 1996 and loved him immediately, despite his relatively small role in said match (and despite the fact that I was 10, a total mark, and couldn't totally appreciate it the way I do now). When I saw him as a hilarious heel in WCW though, that permanently cemented it.

Alberto Del Rio is the son of Mexican legend Dos Caras (he went by Dos Caras, Jr.) and Mil Mascaras' nephew. Down there, he was one of the best workers regardless of weight class and a champion. The real surprise is that the WWE has used him so well, even giving him a clean win over Rey Misterio, Jr.

Kurt Angle. From the time he walked through the curtain I was a fan. Yep. I was made fun of for buying into Kurt Angle during his first match against Stasiak, where he yelled at the crowd for booing him. I thought it was great, and his work on the microphone from there on was hilarious gold. It really felt like people weren't catching onto his brilliance, and I couldn't understand why. Now that he's widely appreciated by refs and wrestlers as the best in the business, I can't help but enjoy. I feel like I was right about Jericho, too. Even though I think he could have been the WWE's ultimate heel if booked right, he found his niche and even recreated it a few times. He'll never be the quick-witted conspiracy victim making life difficult for Dean Malenko again, but he doesn't need to be. On the flip side, I knew Dr. Death Steve Williams was not long for the WWF. Too bland to get attention in the circus, but gimmicking him up would have been antithetical to who he was. There was never even a chance.

I thought Sean O'Haire was going to be a Main Event guy. I wasn't even close on that one.
When I saw Mean Mark in WCW I had a feeling he would be a star someday. I never dreamed a deadman gimmick would be his ticket though.

The moment John Cena came out to challenge Kurt Angle I knew he was going to be around for a while... I didn't predict face of the company big but I knew he'd at least challenge for the title.
This also may have come from when I used to read the Ross Reports on WWF.com and every time he mentioned development The Prototype almost always came up.

During Tough Enough, my brothers were actively cheering for Daniel Puder while I rooted for Mike Mizanin. When he made it on Smackdown, I was the only one who thought he could be a star.
Damn right I called that one. I rubbed it in my brothers faces when he won the title.

I knew Hade Vansen would wash out in WWE. I was shocked he even got to the point of having vignettes.
