This is only about 15 mins outside the city. They wont be in the city for at least another year, they had been running the Jefferson county area but there just werent enough venues. Missouri regulates wrestling in such a way that the companies have to pay thousands of dollars in fees each year just to run shows, on top of that you have to pay to have an officer from the athletic commission at each show, and each wrestler, manager, announcer and ref have to pay licensing fees and take blood tests every 6 months. Its a real hassle to run Saint Louis. That's a shame. I am literally 3 minutes from Arnold if I hit the traffic right (I live in the Mehlville/Oakville area). O'Fallon IL SEEMS like a long drive to me. Mapquest makes it 40 minutes for me, though. I wish I knew how good the wrestling actually is. I have seen some crappy indy stuff, so it makes me hesitant to go see something I have not seen before.

I should also mention I am the only wrestling fan in my group that would go see something that isn't WWE/TNA. So I'd have to go alone, which makes the drive even less attractive.
I wish I could get my friends to go to the "minor league" stuff, as they call it. These are the same guys that will bitch about the price of Cardinal games, but those are the only games they'd go to. Not Rivercity Rascal games or Gateway Grizzly games, which are loads of fun, but "minor league," so they don't want to go.
